Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT acceleration / soundcheck

Modified by "Reiter Engineering". Because of the positive reactions from my Koenigsegg video - mainly because of the sound from the Reiter R-GT - i made a new movie just about the Murciélago R-Gt. It has 590hp and weighs ca. 1100kg. And the sound ist nothing more than epic....

The best sounding race car ever,no question. i got hooked on the sound of the rgt a few years ago at silverstone fia gt i was on the inside at the pit lane exit and as it came out for qualifying as it passed it was stil popping and banging on the pit speed limiter then it all came together as it accelerated towards the complex,the greatest and sweetest engine sound ever!!

I love the sound of the car more than I can describe it, but it seems to tear up its gearbox a lot. At 2009 Le Mans, the Japan Lamborghini Owners Club (JLOC) broke so many driveshafts that they called off their participation in the race. They broke their first on the first few laps of the track! Thats what shocked me, how can a car possibly break that many drive shafts. I hope the R-SV version will win some races and be reliable since I know that it will sound great.

It perhaps sounds even better at Le Mans on the Hunaudieres, only problem is that fans are not allowed on that part of the track, which is a shame! Regarding this test: I think that this could've been Reiter's shakedown for the Spa 1000 km, because that was the only race of the season the Gallardo took part in. For a shakedown a public-track-day seems to be good enough and I suppose much cheaper than renting a track for yourself.

@leylandcarsloverslea they only broke one shaft at le mans... and they only had one, thats why they had to retire... reiter diddnt compete becouse of sponsor issues. the rgt always has been one of the best looking gt racers in the world and THE best sounding one!!! hope the rsv is the same, but peter kox is convinced that it has potential ;)

Looks like after Top Gear suggested puting on a rear wing on the Koenigsegg, all the cars have rear wings. That Lamborghini R-GT has a unmatchable scream!

yep! 3 models: the 2003(testcar) to 2007 model, the 2008-2009 model(only reiter. so this one, the white car) with a more effective silencer, and the good look but bad sound R-SV
