+Extreme Wisdom drive one before talking shit, my friends dad has a lambo murcielago kit car, spent $42,000 for it, not sure what motor, but it runs high 11'sin the 1/4....has a 6 speed trans, the build quality is amazing, doesnt squeak, rattle or anything....rear tires are 335's....interior is awesome, has the car over 3 years, hasnt had any issues yet...it all comes down to who manufactured and builds it

Man, i'm Italian and here there's two people i know, living in my city who: - one have seven (fucking seven) Ferrari, from old great 'Testarossa' to an ugly to see IMO 'yellow indy' F40 and Ferrari 488. - Another, who made a fortune with truck (TIR) repairing in the '70, owns three Lamborghini. My Dad (after his retirement from work) helped for free, those two mans trusted mechanic, hence i know well those cars, even if i was too young for drive back then. A lot of people don't factor in that a modified 500hp 4cly turbo-charged engine will be faster than the lambo mainly because they have a 1000 lbs difference on the engine, not only that, the lambo isn't entirely made of carbon fiber, just some bodyparts and some of the chassis. The MR2 replica's exterior is ENTIRELY made of fiberglass, except for the glass and other components applied to the car. This means the MR2's much lighter than the Lambo... and it can go faster even at 11secs in a 1/4 m

Door jamb was a give-away. There was a clear difference at the latch point. Also the lines on the white car weren't as crisp. A few milimeters can really add up when you're looking at where the body panels match up. A great job on the replica, though. It seems the true test... .ALWAYS.. is to lift the bonnet. The inside of the engine box is like looking into the car's soul. haha!

I have to say that all the people calling it a replica, so what. I love my MR2, so I wouldn't be doing this, but kudos to extreme. You have to admit, this is a pretty damn good reproduction. I say reproduction, because this car looks so much like a Murcielago, that it could pull it off quite nicely. It really melds the best of both worlds, the looks of a Italian beauty, with the driveablity and maintenance cost of reliable Japanese Toyota, in my opinion a winning combo.

Engine, suspensions, chassis, brakes, everything is made on specific Lamborghini. Only the bodywork may be similar, but there are different types of carbon fiber.

@StreetLethalRacing well, keep in mind that most are built on pontiac fiero cars. not all that fast, esp with all that work done to them. theyre not meant to be fast, theyre meant to look fast. i guess you could build the pontiac engine up and turbo the living hell out of it, and have it perform like a real lambo, but people dont usually do that.

@insanityhappensprod The earlier model Murcielago's had dual pipes just like this replica, it wasnt until the LP640 where the single huge pipe came into play. Look up a 2002 Murcielago and see for yourself. These guys actually did a great job, the best replica i've ever seen and with this side by side comparison the work really shows because on the surface, i couldnt tell. Replica or not, this will turn heads everwhere you go.
