This grate is a very interesting solution ! I'll make one soon ! For the moment i'm working on a homemade milling machine but i'll work on my tar combustor gasifier soon ! Thanks for sharing your solutions and experiments !

I appreciate your comment en find it amazing that you like to replicate it . Make sure the combustor is made of stainless steel otherwise it wil burn en the grade wil block to to ash/steel alloy rocks . I also recommend making the reduction zone 2 to 2.5x the diameter of the tube . Greetings

@oscarverwey i've already made the combustor but not with stainless Steel :/

@shlagueurdetek5197 ow then i hope you have made it of a decent thickness like 4 or 5 mm thick this will last for some time . In my next video I'm showing how the thin tube looks after 20 hours of running.

@@oscarverwey unfortunately i made it with50mmx180mmx2mm tube. You think the tube will melt at the first run ?

@shlagueurdetek5197 For sure, you need to make a new one eventually, but you will get the hang of it . You need to use different diameters en lengths for your particular fuel en diameter vs. power output

What if you have a automatic time-shaker every couple of seconds? That will make more fluid movent of the material and will likely decrease, if not eliminate, these tar creation periods.

I highly appreciate your comment, Yes that the plan more frequent automatic shaking primarily of the hopper. for the grade shaking like with the 2 stage gasiffier its gonna be triggered by a water level switch . i don't need to shake is very often because the pressure drop is not high most of the time its only a few cm water coloum. i just need something to crush the ash rocks, This test proves to me that i need to go back to higher reduction zone (200/300mm) including the restriction like in the previous test then i got perfect gas though the sand filter No matter what ;) 120mm en is just not enough

What wood species are you using here?
@oscarverwey2 ай бұрын
Primerly olive wood en sometimes some pine en oak. Everything is from prunings, so low quality chips (lots of small peaces, bark en twigs ) it performs well 😄

@oscarverwey I thought in your chip drying video you said olive and pine. Do you think the pine is hurting your gas quality? It has a lot of resins, I wondered how it would do for gas. Good job brother.

@brosby yeah thats right, I use al different kind of wood that is available at the time, but primerly olive 🫒 wood have high oil and more energy to , so with the right gasiffier. There is no tar at all
