Man i wish i could be that happy. Speaking of.. It's very dangerous to stop taking your medication. Just know you will never know when you're maniac. It's one of those things, like that a narcissist can never process the fact that they have the disorder. Just know if you feel like you can do anything in the world, it's a good indication to be cautious not to do anything dangerous.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMMI wish you the best on your journey. I know everyone’s experience with bipolar is different, I was having agitation and horrible anxiety right before it was time for my next dose. I slowly tapered off lamictal in 2019, I just started taking it again in July 2022. I hope to tapper off again soon once I have a good routine and plan down. It hard, but perhaps consider saying "No" to certain foods. Nutrition is essential and food is a raw material which is converted into a drug utilised by the body to produce fuel. Think what happens to car engine if you put the wrong fuel in it- Yet every day we do just that harm to our ourselves and as a consequence head towards metabolic failure the damaging of vital organs the kidney, liver and heart. The brain requires a lot of energy it is one of the centres of memory. but others parts of the body organs, cells which house our memory, emotions. Emotions are an aspect our senses which come into awareness linked to instincts they help us nevigate our environment and stay safe. The brain is neuroplastic it can divert information make new or reconnect links. However, like an elastic band if stretched too much it could snap and not bounce back. If not used we may get neurodegenerative disease. Everything in moderation, a little poison (antidepression/antipsychotic/ sedative meditation) can be helpful for one. Atleast whilst nevigating for alternatives treatments. However, others may find they need to be on them longterm or permenantly to stop the cyclic mulberry bushing. Depending on the drug slowly is better than fast- titrate down/ taper off (weigh) Set a timetable for coming off completely be it a few days, week, fortnight, month or year. Look to replace the gap with something other than another drug a new hobby, academic pursuit or sort after job skill. If financially viable look for or request a functional/ integrative medical practioner who can liason with Psychiatrist/Medical team or try and find a doctor who is into holistics and not straight alopathic medicine. Why? alopathic medicine tends to deal with the symtoms (Symptoms are experienced when the 🐎 has bolted) it is good in event of medical emergency whereas functional/integrative/holistic is more management alternatives and preventative. Long/Short term who wants to be worse off and end-up medically lobotimise not to mention experience the other physical detriment? If they can avoid it? Unless that is you are a masochist. Practicing Magnetic Memory Techniqe Not a plug but Dr. Anthony Metivier has done all the work(Climbed on the shoulders of giants) placed it here, had set-up an easy access website which explains types of memory how to master and that may help to enhance or preserve memory whilst on medication and off it. Keeping those neuronetworks reconnected and growing whilst dopamine and other chemicals are being tempered with. Exercise may also stop the zombifycation of emotions by producing the feel good chems, (DA), (5HT), (NE ) abbreviated. In addition, help to counteract other effects such as weight gain caused by the munches and stave off metabolic failure. But you do need some treats otherwise may succumb to overeating when favourite foods are calling your name.

Definitely. Although I would not say "everything in moderation." As I talk about in The Victorious Mind, rotation and elimination diets revealed that there are somethings that I really cannot eat if I want to be free from lamictal and related substances.

Overall health, no longer convinced by the diagnosis and exciting dietary and fitness changes that seemed more promising than medication. It's now over a year later and I've had incredible peace and contentment. It seems to me now that all the problems were coming from food sensitivities, not Manic Depression. I haven't completely disavowed that diagnosis, but self-management has been far more profound. Perhaps not for everyone, but has been working for me so far and I'm being vigilant in case anything needs to change. Thanks for asking. Are you taking it? :)
@Smilingsuns227 жыл бұрын
+Anthony Metivier yes, for about a month now. I feel it has helped me somewhat with depression and from what I've read and watched it seems very well tolerated by people taking it. I'm not thrilled with the idea of taking it forever though. I haven't seen many videos on people coming off lamictal so thank you very much for posting this video. Did you notice any changes the longer you were on it? Or, any thing else you recommend I read/watch? Thank you for replying and sharing your story.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this and I think you can feel confident that it doesn't have to be for life. The important thing is that you're attending to a problem and it does seem that many tolerate this one fairly well. Key things that helped were sleep: www.magneticmemorymethod.com/sleep-memory-improvement/ ... diet: www.magneticmemorymethod.com/foods-that-improve-memory/ ... and always having a learning project, such as this: www.magneticmemorymethod.com/rereading-strategy/ Hope these things help and stay tuned for more discussion of this matter going forward. I make reference to the problem and my ongoing solutions for it fairly often. :)

I did all you say, I eat healthy, fit at 43 like a 30 year old, excercise.. Etc I been living with my bi polar for many years since I was diagnosed. Anxiety and panic attack came out first due to my over hyper mania, I am a machine and so successful engineer because of my hyper mania. I also get depressed after work, so I stay at my bed until I sleep , late off course (2 AM) and wake as early as 530 AM. So as a result, I started get brain fry, and really anxious because of my mania / depressed mood daily, so it mixed type together. I never stop talking at work or when excited. It is always making me crave sugars, maybe due to low sugar and low blood pressure do to over talking. I decided to talk to a psychiatrist and now on Lamictal for 5 days. It made my mania little better and controlled. I am still doing what I do before Lamictal, but my anxiety is controlled better. Like I can resist it better. However, when I want to sleep, or doze a little or in sleepy mode where I would sleep and wake after minutes, I would get weird pain in the back of my head. The 2 bad things about it that I am sure about, is my Lactose Intolerance. Its making me have upset stomach all time, but gas no diarrhea coupled with can't can't do number 2 in bathroom. The other thing is sleepiness.

I have reactive Hypoglycemia and found that that's alot of people's reasons for extreme mood swings Low sugars periodically every 3 or 4 hours. All meds make me worse. They actually mask low sugars and can be more dangerous. I'm all about meds if they help. I can't even think on Lamictal and it gives me a sense of overall malaise and grossness. Not impressed at all and I had high hopes for it. Peace all
