This year might be even harder. Looking back, I see I didn’t make the best financial choices last year because I was so focused on my portfolio. I had to decide whether to invest more or buy a house. After selling my assets, I realized the house needed more work than I planned for. I’m finding it harder to keep going.

Invest in companies with steady cash flow to protect your portfolio. I got an advisor at the end of 2023 to guide me, and in a few months, I’ve gained access to over 50,000 markets. If 2024 has taught us one thing, it’s that luck is temporary. Even in good times, we need to plan for bad ones

Alright, so where can someone locate a reliable financial planner? It won't be a problem for me to find the professional who helped you. I'll be retiring in two years, and I might require assistance with handling my far more valuable assets. I'm not willing to take any risk

Excellent interview. Congratulations. You are hitting home runs with this podcast.. The quality of the conversations are a 10/10.. Loved what she said about not losing yourself trying to get to the next level. It's absolutely true. There will always be people who have much more. Curve your own lane and find contentment in it..

Yeah I have friends and family who have spoken of experiencing it and it really does affect them, they have to do things like intentionally plan holidays around that time to help but everyone doesn’t have the resources to do that

I could absolutely relate to dropping out of university. From what I've seen it does not necessarily translate into success, but (unless on a scolarship) it always costs fiinancially and in time that could've been invested otherwise. Education is great, but can come many different ways. The purpose is also not always to translate into financial wealth but to get doors opened that would otherwise be closed, break generational cycles etc.

And btw, I dropped out of Veterinary School to finish the Career I already had (in another field that opened the door to Vet School). A strange story, I know. It usually goes the other way around. Anyway, it took much deliberation because, "Who does that?" But I'm glad because 1) I started UNI as a Mature Student and was already doing something that earned me money, already had a house, promotion, benefits (that saved me lots of money) and opportunities in my job were always coming. It's just that I was not working for myself, which I could as a Veterinarian.....but after 5 years of studying, plus x number of years in practice. 2) I had other talents I wanted to develop. 3) UNI (or my field of study) was taking a toll on my that, imo was not worth whatever I might gain at the end. I see no point in cutting out one end of the curtain to sew it on the next end. 4) Thankfully in my country (at the time) we had free education from Nursery to Teriary......for Citizens Only.😉 I would have had a HUGE STUDENT DEBT, at the end if I had to pay, which is the position in which many find themselves. Students spend a fortune to get an education only to work to continue paying a fortune? And I have not seen a significant difference in the lives of those who graduated and those, like myself and others who quit. It all comes down to what you prioritize, and ultimately how you manage your life. This was the right choice for me, based on my goals and the options I had. To each his own.

Most people will not get wealthy through a job but it isn’t impossible to become a multi millionaire/ billionaire c-level executive through a job

Big facts. I know a few multi millionaires who got their thru investing over 10-15 yr periods + real estate. Now billionaire… SUPER RARE thru a job.

It can be easier through a job really. IF, 1. Lifestyle inflation is resisted.( it's easier to do this as a business owner as the temptation to spend is higher as a high salary earner) and 2. Be very intentional about building wealth as salaries can create an illusion of comfort and the pressure of the high paying payers can suck out one's life juice 😢 that at the end of the day ,it's easy to just want to zone out into a bottle of alcohol or KZbin shorts on cats😅. Being an entrepreneur can just be as stressful or even worse but it can often provide more psychological rewards than a job ,which helps alleviate the stress.

Wealth is “mega-money”. I don’t think I agree with that. Wealth is certainly something you can pass on to future generations and you certainly can build wealth through a career. The wealth may not be staggering, but if I have 4 or 5 un-leveraged properties in my portfolio, I’d consider myself wealthy by my standards. But that’s just my opinion
@Lamideelizabeth
@Lamideelizabeth Күн бұрын
No I absolutely agree but I’m sure she was talking about when we’re having a general conversation and say that someone is wealthy we’re usually referring to someone with a significant net worth. But agree with you everyone has a net worth, and can build wealth no matter how big or small
@LibaaxTopG
@LibaaxTopG Күн бұрын
Wealthy “mega-money” is relative . If you can support your lifestyle from the interest ,profit, income, or dividends from your assets PASSIVELY( like what she said real estate , businesses, or stocks ) ; you are wealthy. I personally prefer stock investing
