Aye, let's go. A fellow man of culture. I new I could find another video of someone using the Laminar flow nozzle. This is really all the hacksmiths lightsaber is and they didn't even make theirs, kinda disappointing.

@@bradensinclair9517 Yes but create a laminar gas flow is extremely hard, the one that Hacksmith are using are extremelly well manufactured with CNC and other machine (cost 4000$ (Check out bethlehem Burners ) ) . I am a member of a fablab wich has cnc and other high end machine and l'm looking to create one with oxy fuel. By the way @NOBOX7 great work !

Hacksmith bought his, this guy built one; way cooler. It was seriously his stopping point for the entire "lightsaber" build. I love seeing people make amazing things from scratch that work just as good as the commercial equivalent.

They're essentially the same, if you're talking laminar flow vs. a traditional torch. I wasn't at all impressed with the hacksmith "lightsaber", the dude just bought a torch right off the shelf and bolted some junk on there to make it look like a lightsaber. This guy fabricated and perfected a torch from raw materials, and in the process he made a torch that was very efficient at producing temps that are normally not achievable from a propane/air flame. The hacksmith channel makes some cool stuff but that was a bit of a letdown, especially when you consider there's probably tons of guys out there that use those torches at work and have been pretending they're lightsabers for years already.

do you reckon better flow could be achieved by putting fine steel wool behind the nozzle for a more even distribution of gas

@NOBOX7 Do you have a laminar burner for hydrogen gas and what do you use to stop flash backs?
