Nah, Lamine Yamal is just that guy, he’s honestly too good at football and it’s hard to believe that at the age of 17, he’s an elite winger. It’s still early in his career, but based off of his performances for club and country already, his potential can no longer be doubted. I cannot believe that there are some people who put him on the same level as a certain Brazilian PR merchant. Anyways, some of the things he’s been doing on the pitch is unheard of; he’s not normal and at this point nobody is surprised. His goal against Athletic Bilbao today was a replica of his banger outside of the box against France at the EUROs and whenever he has space outside of the box, the opponents should know that they cannot let him shoot and whenever he does, it goes in the back of the net. In his last 6 games for club and country, he has been involved in a goal or an assist and during a period where he broke up with his girlfriend as she cheated on him and his dad was stabbed, Yamal keeps producing the goods on the pitch as even at the start of a new season; nothing has changed 2 games: 2 goal contributions: 1 assist against Valencia and 1 goal against Athletic Bilbao, he is the face of Barcelona the best player on this team and I’m just out of words to describe how special he is because whenever I watch him he’s just magical.

My expectations for Barcelona this season not based off of the first 2 games: 1st or 2nd place in La Liga, champions league, quarterfinals or semifinals (when everyone is healthy). I know they’ve only played 2 games in the league, at the end of the day, they got 6 points against 2 very difficult teams without having a full strength squad as up top, they had a 36 year old, a bunch of teenagers, a left winger who needs to learn Arabic, a couple of players weren’t even playing in their natural position and for the most part; Barcelona has looked excellent. Not to mention that this comes during a period where all the focus has been about what’s happened off the pitch their decision making and them not being able to register their new signing. While the scoreline will tell you that they should’ve played better and every team has some things that they can improve on, it’s a sign of what this team is going to look like under Hansi Flick with the right tactical approach and from watching this team, it makes you wonder how good they’ll truly be when everyone is fit. The way in which they pressed and moved the ball around was excellent and they played with energy and looked comfortable on the ball as this was enough for them to secure the win. As much talent as Real Madrid have on paper, Barcelona regardless will do enough to mount a title challenge in La Liga since their team is much better than what people think of them and it’s all about the consistency and being able to sustain a high level of play for the whole season and if they win the league, yes it would be a bit of a shock to some people, they’re capable of doing it if they play well enough.

I said it was disappointing bc we have a lot of injuries and he’s always healthy and is good and it is frustrating that we can’t even afford players. If we played with one CDM he would prob have played next to Pedri or olmo. Guess it doesn’t matter anymore though 😂

Niko didn't get support from team mates to make 2v1 situations when niko is very lethal , niko 1v1 against world class is not good. He is versatile, world class but not generational like yamal, saka, vini, leao(sometimes) to be able to carry whole team single handedly. He needs other players to be threat to thrive beautifully. Love to niko, for his show of loyalty to his family, team (atleast for this season). Respect his decision. Barca fans need to understand that to be better fans. Don't be toxic. There is no right or wrong.

I don't know when this injuries are gonna stop with this barca squad. But our defence is kind of shake. Hansi flick should consider playing konde as a cb with cubarci rn and on Rb he could play raphinha or hactor fort and on the Lb could be balde. I think playing rapinha on that rb position will be interesting. His work rate and defensive abilities could really make him a good rb like dani albes. And i think given the last seasons performance hactor fort can do realy good but flick needs to trust this boys like xavi did and give him some more playing time.

I'm confused... where you implying that Balde had a bad game? ( 3:45) I thought he was absolutely terrific yesterday! It reminded me of the Baldo that first exploded onto the scene, beating everyone down that left-side with his dribbling and extraordinary pace. Along with maybe Kounde, Raphinha and Pedri, I thought he was the best Barca player on the field. He just caused soo much havoc, and soo much headache for Bilbao. They could not control him. If yesterday was a sign of things to come from Balde (under Flick), then I believe we are in for a real treat.

I guess Kylian Mbappe has some competition for the Golden Boot in La Liga as being the top scorer in the league won’t be as easy as we think it’ll be for him. As the season progresses that’s going to change, after 2 games, Robert Lewandowski has scored 3 goals and with all of the criticism he received last season for blowing hot and cold and being in decline, it’s not a coincidence that under Hansi Flick his former manager, he looks much more comfortable in Barcelona’s system than he ever did under Xavi. His role in the team he should be a poacher in a sense that he’s not being asked to touch the ball 40 times a game or regularly be involved in the buildup play and press without he ball for 90 minutes, since he’s the only one on the team consistently scoring goals, when he’s in the box, he’ll score goals if he gets the ball in the right place. The first couple of games of a season obviously cannot be the full indication for whether or not a player is back to their best, realistically speaking, Lewandowski should at least be able to score 25+ goals whether it’s in the league or in all competitions because at his age; he still has that killer instinct in front of goal and in this system, it’s important that he’s being played to his strengths.

We should’ve just stuck with the same squad for another season and given the youngsters a chance instead of loaning some of them out and letting Gundo (one of our best players last season) go for free.

Everywhere I turn people are saying Lewandowski's back because of his relationship with Flick?! That's something I genuinely can't understand - this was 5yrs ago, he obviously isn't the same player anymore and he's now 36yrs old. He's not as fast as he used to be and he's not as deadly. So please explain to me how he's back?! Not only that but I'm not not sure what game you were watching? But he was non-existent for most of the match. He could potentially score around 20 goals but that's going to be in all competitions. Pedri isn't playing a holding midfielder role. But more of a Deep Lying Playmaker Role - as you can see in the match Bernal plays the holding role (in transition) while Pedri drops deep to collect the ball, but ventures forward in attack. Typical of a Deep Lying Playmaker - and the reason for Flick wanting him to play that role is coz it's pointless playing him further up the field where he'll have less touches and less accurate passes. Xavi played a similar role for us. Chiesa, ultimately, would be a REALLY bad signing and I think it's the reason we haven't made an official bid as yet - for the last two or three seasons he's been injured half the time. Not exactly a good investment. It would be a complete wasted of money. Also, as a long time Barça fan, there's just no way we're a top 5 team, period. Let's break that down - we have Man. City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Leverkusen, Liverpool. As far as I can tell, these teams would slaughter us in a professional match. Maybe in a year or so?!
