Some of the sweetest die cast I have ever seen! Same goes for the new C.C. Drag Strip Demons. The difference between the two sets is that I will own the second set! I wasn't collecting when the first set came out. I wont be making the same mistake again!!!!!

That's actually a 1965 Chevy Nova gasser . You can tell by the tail light on the rear quarterback and the " trunklid" . So 4 tail lights not 2 like the 62-64 yrs. 1962 -64 only had taillights on the quarter panel ends .

My biggest issue with all these Hot Wheels is that they are pretty hard to find in Europe and ebay prices are sometimes out the roof but those gassers are sweet

The altered wheelbase (front and rear axle line are moved forward) were the original "Funny Cars". Named for the fact that they looked funny in this configuration.

I believe the cars with altered wheelbase are actually the first funny cars. They may well have been called "Altered". Dick Landy was definitely a pioneer. I recall seeing his cars in Hot Rod magazine - back in the day. Also once built an AMT plastic model kit of a 1963 Nova funny car. The wheel placement was identical to the HW version. Yeah - I'm old!

Well your assumption was bang on, I was drooling over the Coronets and super Nova. It would be cool if they did a model in a Rolling Stones livery " Jumping Jack Flash it's a gas gas gasser" Cheers !!!!!
