Thank you Miss Alice for this video, I have seen mostly people just taking cuttings, glad to see you root divide. This is a lovely plant for dry/non fertile soil. I have a hillside of mostly sand and it should thrive there. :D Blessing to you from northern Wisconsin US, growing zone 4b, yes it does well here too in dry neglected areas. Delosperma is the branch of this family we have, we get a lot of snow and winter.❤

Wet the seed pod and watch it open up. It opens when it rains and then closes again. Magic!

What if I trimmed the 2 nodes closest to the soil will it still root ?
@redsoilgardener Жыл бұрын
Hi Mikayla, if you take the hard wood of stem remove the leaves, so you have the nodes and place the nodes in the soil it should root

I’m in TX, and I can’t keep these alive. I guess they need too much water
@redsoilgardener Жыл бұрын
Hi, they need full sun like all the succulents. In summer, they do require additional water. In winter, water sparingly. Where have you placed the plant indoors or out door? Is it in full sun? Too much water can cause rot so let it dry out before watering. Like all succulents they store water in their leaves. You can DM me and we can try to say the plant.
