I bought probably one of the 5 pieces they brought to Mexico city. It’s expensive but I think people is getting it precisely because it is a collectors edition, a unique piece that soon will me out of stock anywhere. Its my first Lamy 2000, so I’m pleased. Thanks for your very objective review.

El Librominuto I definitely understand the whole limited edition appeal. I don’t think people would be as upset about it if it were a different pen from Lamy, such as the dialog 3 or imporium.

I‘m glad to own a Blue Bauhaus as well :) Tomorrow my little collection will be complete (except for the red makrolon set) :) I already have a Black Amber and a regular black Makrolon one and the regular Stainless Steel is coming in tomorrow :) I personally think that the Lamy 2000 is the better pen compared to the Imporium (I have s Ti-Pt one)

You need to tag this as ASMR because the unboxing had me feeling ways my wife has only let other men feel for years

Balanced perspective, Olivier. I have the standard black version (also in EF), & it's a wonderful writing instrument; I would agree, the dense paper enclosed in the journal will cause more issues than it should - thick (almost card stock grade paper) always carries bleed-thru', & ironic that standard Lamy paper handles every nib width & ink with aplomb. Aesthetically, that blue is wonderful - & frankly, I consider the company should make it as a standard issue - it does not detract from Lamy's Centenary; if anything, I imagine sales would soar higher. As for the price - I would consider that out of many individuals' ball park; I'm not really sold on the notion that this should be a 'Collector's' piece - it's Bauhaus design already speaks for itself (thank you, Gerd Muller) - more significantly, it's still in production after five decades. If that's not a ringing endorsement, I am not sure what is....Thank you as always !

US-$500 is a tough price. In Germany the price isn‘t that bad. Regular Makrolon: 135€ / 190€ MSRP (now 200€) Stainless Steel: 190€ / 260€ MSRP (now 280€) Blue Bauhaus: 350€ The problem with this pen is that the regular Makrolon is too cheap... :D

Herr Keks I’d have a much better time selling them at those prices! 🤣 The Lamy 2000 is now $250 US here...

I don’t want to complain, but I want give a few examples. We are struggling with many other Products. TWSBI for example. An 580 AL is 80€ (~88$); an Eco is 40€ (44$)... and at this point the difference to other pens isn’t that high anymore. That is why I own only 2 TWSBI (580 AL R Nickel Gray and Mini AL Blue). A more common example would be Apple Products. A 12.9“ iPad Pro is 999$ in the US. In Germany it is 1099€ (~1,209$). My MacBook would be 2,899$ in the US, in Germany it was 3.319€ (~3,651$). That is a 752$ difference. :) I guess I have an excuse now to buy more Pelikans, Lamy 2000 and Kawecos to make up for that :D

Siendo una versión LIMITADA creo que valdrá la pena tenerlo. Es una gran pluma estilográfica. De que material está fabricada? Es también Makrolon? Saludos desde Medellín, Colombia
@oliveboypens4 жыл бұрын
Sí, la pluma está fabricada de Makrolon como la 2000 normal.

Thanks for the review! Do you have a preference of the black or blue Lamy 2000? What is your favorite Lamy 2000 nib size?
@oliveboypens4 жыл бұрын
Sara Beauvais I think I prefer the black! It’s classic, and goes with everything. My favorite nib size is the double broad!
@TheBakinb4 жыл бұрын
Think you can show all the lines for each lamy 2k you have? I have a medium and stuck on getting broad and bb.
@oliveboypens4 жыл бұрын
Kevan Gabrielsen if you pause during my writing sample, it shows the broad (architect) the double broad (stub) and medium (stub) Lamy 2000s!

@@oliveboypens how is it possible to get a lamy 2k to an architect grind?!

Now worth around $750 and was considering one as first gold nip but with this price I'd rather buy one of the vusconti homo sapiens pens🤔 but who knows I could be wrong and there is something even better
@oliveboypens4 жыл бұрын
While I'm not a fan of the Homo sapiens, I also wouldn't recommend this pen as a first gold nib pen. The only thing it offers over the standard 2000 is the limited edition appeal. I'd recommend a standard 2000!

I wish I could find thick notebooks like that for sale anywhere. Notebooks with only 200 pages just don’t cut it. Does anyone have any recommendations of thick notebooks that play nicely with fountain pens?
@herrkeks85094 жыл бұрын
I think there is a 358 page one from Tomoe River... It is possible that you can find it on Amazon.
