He knows exactly when to pause, let the audience think they know the punchline and then deliver something even better, or simply plow through the laughs with a followup that pushes the momentum even higher. I couldn't parse the accent, and thought he was stressing about getting a Bowler check. And was perplexed why it would be so traumatic to have someone look in your hat. Not to mention, if you don't want someone looking in your hat, why are you wearing one in the first place? It would really help if he did a recap to establish the context.
