I have a black Lamy 2000 and I just love it so much. It's always ready to write and has never let me down. Thanks, Mick, for sharing and enjoy that lovely new Lamy 2000 Pine.

I agree with everything you said when it comes to the Lamy 2000. The 2000 is one of my favorites. I have it in the regular black (EF) and it stays in my rotation of pens. I really like the pine but not at that price. Thanks for the review!

Beautiful limited edition but overpriced.

I like the ink capacity of the Lamy 2000 because I am a serial ink changer. This way, I don't get tired of the ink, yet there's enough to let me write for a long time.

Excellent review, Mick. I won’t rehash all that I said about this latest green (pine) Lamy 2k in your brief, unboxing and first impressions video recently. I really wanted the earlier brown 2k, but passed on it. And I badly want this pine 2k, too. I’m still somewhat torn on whether to just go for it, or not. I guess I probably won’t (mainly due to the inexcusably over-the-top price). But this splendid review tempts me anew.

I like the honesty in this review the main reason you're buying this pen is to have a piece of lamy history and to show off something that is a collector's piece and there really is no difference between the two versions

this is magnificent!

For the price of this limited edition I can buy in my country two units in black. I will not spend my money on this edition. I am not a collector but a user who uses his fountain pens a lot. I respect, however, those who are collectors and would like to add this green edition of the Lamy 2000 to their collection.

Thanks for the review Mick! Agree with you on all points. This quickly became my EDC and I have no regrets. Do you find that the colour varies depending on the background? Sometimes against a white background mine seems very dark, almost black. Put it side by side with a black one though and the colour pops. If you want another ink recommendation try it with the flywheel printing press green special edition from Van Deimans. I like your choice but the printing press green looks like a perfect match to the pen.

How is the feel of the material of this pen compared to the Makrolon?
@belphegor_dev11 күн бұрын
It's the same material. This is just Makrolon in a different color.

I must say the green is quite nice. The price on the other hand is 🤯

Yeah. I love green pens and my Lamy 2000, and I still think it's too much. $300, and I would have bought it immediately. $500 and above, I'm looking at Pelikan and Montblanc.

You mentioned that you have all nibs from EF to B, a comparison would be helpful! I love this pen and the colour but it is so pricey
@theoffstagemeАй бұрын
@@0xss yes, a EF to B video comparison is on my list… but it will be a while until I get to it. I have a massive backlog of videos at the moment.

I love the Lamy 2k. I’m trying to convince myself not to buy the green one. I just got an extra custom ground nib so technically I already spent $500+ on one so maybe it’s not a big deal to spend it on a second plus it’s green…

Hmm I'm still not taken with any of these special edition colours. They always remind me of the coloured Chinese knock offs that you can get off eBay or AliExpress. However.... I think I'd go for it in white.

I loved my black Makralon Lamy 2k so much that I bought four of them, as well as a stainless steel but this Pine version is an overpriced travesty that I can’t even get in my preferred nib size of medium. I’ll pass.
