Originally, this ink became a hot collector's item in 2016 when it debuted with a matching Lamy Safari fountain pen of the year. In 2024, Lamy is adding "Dark Lilac" to its everyday collection of fountain pen inks. Yet, it's not the same color from eight years ago...

I really like Noodlers political styled inks. A lot of this country was founded on quill and ink so it makes sense to theme some colors around it, especially if you your company is literally in Massachusetts. That being said, if they ever wanted to change them i get it, controversial figures and all. Plus they’re always creative about colors and labels. Insurrection Red and Bygone Blue anyone?
