Great review Meer, really enjoyed it whole a lot! I used to have the Lamzu Thorn, it´s fantastic ergo mice, but I just could not comfortably relax claw grip it, so I returned mine. But that doesn´t give the mice bad score from me. I am really excited for the new release of the Lamzu Paro, this might be a game changer for me

At this price point… yeah it’s incredible I think they could’ve charged a bit more and moved into the mid tier price range pretty easily and I think it would be fair.

Great review, and I agree with everything you said. I've had this mouse for about 4 months, and despite all the positive aspects it has (shape, color, sensor, main optical switches, side switches, scroll wheel), there are a few things I'd like to see improved in future versions of the XFnatic Thorn. First: Sometimes the cursor freezes on the screen, and the only solution is to unplug the cable from the 4K dongle and plug it back in. It's not a problem, but if you're in a game, in my case CS2, it can be quite inconvenient. I called LAMZU, and they told me they'd send a new 4K dongle. Second: If I hit the mouse a bit harder on the table, it sometimes registers a click, meaning it doesn't have slam-click protection. This can be easily fixed with Debounce time, and I've set it to 1ms, and now it works fine. Third: The battery life in 4K mode. I'm not sure if it can even last a day. However, the mouse charges really quickly, but it's like having a car with a small fuel tank. You might say it fills up quickly, but it also empties fast. And the last thing I don't like is the bottom of the mouse, which is open, allowing dust to get in. This has been resolved with a sticker, but now the mouse looks unprofessional and cheap from the bottom. The mouse should have a closed bottom, as this isn't something a serious professional mouse should have. Still, despite everything mentioned, this is the best ergonomic mouse on the market as far as I'm concerned. Despite these issues, I love it and enjoy using it. Best regards.

Glad you enjoyed the video Sorry about your dongle glad LAMZU sent you a new one. I am surprised about battery life I typically went a few days between charges but I rarely play more than 5 hours consecutively and prefer the feel of 2khz polling generally so that could be a large factor. I’ll have to get mine back out and do more testing on battery life if you are having those types of problems I think it would be worth mentioning when I talk about this mouse in the future as it’s still my top recommendation for people looking for an ergo shape. I will say pulsar has some interesting upcoming releases and I also really enjoy the Vaxee though it’s quite a bit heavier. Maybe one of those could be a good fit for you

As for other mice, I follow the scene and know all the brands and models, but for now, I have this mouse and I don't want to change it. There's no need. Best regards.

For what you’re getting for the price yeah it’s solid. If you have a few extra bucks I’d step up to the zowie or a Vaxee personally. Pulsar also has a new release at this price point. Thorn is very good though side buttons are probably its best feature in my opinion.

I run 4K nearly exclusively although while testing I switched between 1k and 4K I’d say it performs “as advertised”. As far as battery is concerned.

@dustinmihalcheon5013 id say 40 @4k polling is a fair estimate. Closer to 80h at 1k polling. Bouncing back and forth over the last few months having it I’d say charging it once every week and a half to 2 weeks has been more than adequate and I play about 5-6 hours a day so rough estimates I’d say running 4K expect 40-50h and 1k you could easily get 70+ in my experience. Polling rates the biggest factor for battery life so just depends what you’re running. If you love the sora you could just order a larger battery or battery swap from another mouse with the same pin out 🤷 could save you some cash batteries are cheap! Hope that helps 👌

Personally I’m taking the thorn over a GPX every time. But the GPX has one of the most agreeable shapes of all time. If you aren’t an enthusiast, want to play it safe or don’t care about specs/weight and so on probably just grab a GPX and you’ll be content. If you want a solid ergo mouse with better specs and better performance grab the thorn, it’s just not as safe a shape as a GPX. It’s an ergo not an ambi so people usually either love or hate a shape like that very few people are just meh about ergos it’s always either love or hate. 🤷 Can’t tell you what to get just depends on what you’re looking for out of a mouse as the consumer. All that said. If I’m buying a mouse today at that price range, I’m picking up a zowie or Vaxee mouse in a shape that I like and never looking back. You will not and cannot go wrong with a zowie or Vaxee mouse and they have so many S tier shapes at such solid pricing it’s almost insane to me to get anything else. Want the best ergo? Easy ec-cw. Want the best ambi for claw? Easy za13-dw. Want the best safe flat comfortable ambi?easy vaxee xe. Wish it was a bit smaller? Easy Vaxee xe(s). You go to a Vaxee or zowie webpage they will %100 have a mouse that will be absolutely perfect for you and the build quality is tier 1 bar none. Just my 2 cents.

Keep in mind since making this video zowie has dropped tons of new wireless mouse and Vaxee fixed some of the qc issues that were common in there earlier releases. The scene has changed a bit. Still love the thorn, still think it has incredible side buttons but it just can’t match the premium feel and build quality of Vaxee and zowie. Regarding the GPX 1 it’s an incredibly agreeable shape no doubt about it but realistically it’s severely out of date at this point so unless you can get it for half the price of the others it’s not a valid option these days unless you just get it for very cheap and want to play it very very safe. To me the GPX is the white bread of the mouse scene. Like sure it works for %99 of people but nobody is raving about a GPX it’s solid for sure but it’s a bit boring and underwhelming. 🤷
