“Love” the first track on the album Lana wrote and dedicated that song to her fans “Cherry” Lana’s most iconic song and Choreography deff a fan favorite “white Mustang” aka “Why am I staying” was written about Lana’s ex “beautiful people beautiful problems” I know you didn’t like this one as much but plz listen to the DEMO version of this song I find so good. “tomorrow never came” Shawn Lennon is John Lennon’s son from the Beatles. “..the radio to our fav song Lennon and Yoko” his parents “Heroin” Lana’s fav song on the album written about her ex who overdosed on Dec of 2011. “Bad beginning to my new year”. also “YAYO” from Paradise EP (I remember you liking that song) was about him as well. “Get Free” - deff a fan favorite. On concerts, Lana mentions two of her biggest inspirations in the chorus of the song with the 2 missing parts. “I’m doing it for all of us who never got the chance for “Amy” and “ Whitney” “And all my birds in paradise that never got to fly at night cause they were caught up in the dance”.. she also has both names tattooed on her

Stevie nicks is the lead singer from Fleetwood Mac and metro boomin produced that song. And Sean ono Lennon is John Lennons son (from The Beatles) so it’s tough how she mixes vintage hippie vibes with trap vibes in this album. 🐐 as usual

Some context for the features on this album: Stevie Nicks was part of Fleetwood Mac, one of the most famous bands of the 70s & 80s, you might know the song "Dreams"? She also had a very successful career as a solo artist. Sean Ono Lennon is the son of John Lennon (of Beatles fame) and Yoko Ono, an artist and the second wife of John Lennon.

instant click. love was kinda a message to her fans and its soo cute and hopeful to me one of my favs. lana and the weeknd have been friends for a long time they both agree their music styles have a lot of similarities. white mustang sounds like a double entendre "white mustang" sounds like why am i staying, ur why im staying". i luv asap and lana but i love their unreleased song: 'ridin' more. in my feelings also an underrated gem, i luv when we get angry lana. now heroin might b my fav from this album its so sad and so beautiful, and the bridge is perfect. but get free is one of her BEST album closers. in live performances of get free lana says "for amy and for whitney, and all my birds of paradise" so sweet :( for amy winehouse and whitney houston as they died too young unfortunately, and they r inspirations of Lana's. So glad u loved this under appreciated albummm.

@ynelypelez5979
@ynelypelez5979 4 ай бұрын
Did you know that 12 years ago, on September 26th The Weeknd discovered Lana Del Rey through tumblr, and was the first one to ask BBC Radio 1 to put 'Video Games' on their playlist. In fact in an interview Abel admits that when he met Lana, he felt that he had found the girl who was writing in her songs, that is, I found her muse for her songs. The Weeknd and Lana met in 2010, the year in which the Weeknd launched "Trilogy", and it is seen that they became very good friends, so much so that the voice of a woman who sounds in "Lonely Star" is inspired by Lana del Rey and it should be clarified that Lana helped a producer the album, "BBTM".On the surface, The Weeknd and Del Rey might seem like very different artists. After all, The Weeknd’s music hip hop and soul sound feels more in line with someone like Ariana Grande. Meanwhile, Del Rey’s career lives much more in line with rock-infused pop. However, the two artists are much more similar than the genres of their music might reveal.For instance, The Weeknd and Del Rey both often capture a dream-like quality in their songs. In addition, their lyrical content dips into dark territory, such as their preoccupation with drug references. So it makes sense they would work well together. And so they have. Beginning with The Weeknd’s 2015 single “Prisoner,” they’ve worked together on five songs.Although the Grammy Awards have yet to bestow a trophy to Del Rey, her work certainly makes a huge impact on The Weeknd. In fact, the “Blinding Lights” singer once revealed just how vital she is to his own music. In a 2015 interview with Pitchfork, The Weeknd explained the interconnected nature of Del Rey’s music and his own. “Me and Lana have been friends for a long time. I’ve inspired her. She’s inspired me. I feel like we’ve always been talking to each other through our music. She is the girl in my music, and I am the guy in her music. It’s just this ghostly collaboration that feels the most natural on the whole [Beauty Behind the Madness] album. Even the whole monologue intro on “Lonely Star” from [my 2011 mixtape] Thursday - I just realized now that that’s Lana. That’s Lana’s voice. I mean, it’s my voice pitched up, but it’s her. It’s who she is. She was definitely the first feature that I wanted to bring on this album.” The Weeknd and Del Rey are more than just collaborators, it seems. The pair’s music - according to The Weeknd - is spiritually linked. Perhaps this revelation puts into context not only the collaborations between these two but their respective catalogs as well. As great collaborations he has Prisoner, Party Monster where Lana makes Background vocals, Stargirl Interlude, Lust for Life and Money Power and Glory an unreleased remix by The weeknd for the album kissland but the original is from Lana's album Ultraviolence.Anyway, long life to this wonderful collaboration. Abelana Forever 🥰🥰September 26 Abelana Anniversary. 12 years ago The Weeknd discovered Lana on Tumblr and they became friends ❤❤❤

the part in heroin where she sang " life rocked me ultra softly like the heavy metal you wear" above that like she says " life rocked me like motley" with the two dots above motley she is referring to a band called "motley crew" which is a rock band making that bar even crazier. so that's a fun little fact :)

@@mkmetriokay you GOTTA listen to Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. But you gotta know the history. Stevie Nicks was dating Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist, and Christine, the keyboard player was married to the bass player, I forgot his name. But there was so much drama in the band and everyone was broke up and no one was talking to each other, so they did all their talking through song. The song Silver Springs was supposed to be on it, but they cut it do to length (this was the 70's and everything had to fit on vinyl record) and Stevie was maaaad because she wrote it and it was to Buckingham. But like, the band briefly got back together for a tour in the 90s and they did a live performance of this song on PBS or some shit and YOU GOTTA WATCH IT. Stevie literally casts a curse during that performance while she stares at him yelling/singing "You'll never get away from the sound of the woman who loved you." That song is my Roman Empire I swear. I also saw Stevie in concert this past March. She's brilliant and beautiful and still touring in her 80s. Fuckin' love her so much. She's one of Lana's inspirations.
