Nice bow. I like the safety of the cocking and de-cocking. I do love my R26 though and i did get it brand new for a heck of a price.

You aren't supposed to let the trigger box free fall to the string. The Accuslide should be backwound after cocking no matter what bow it is. If you don't the trigger box is being held by the strap instead of the trigger latch.

You can't back wind the Ravin it will unlock it it has no locks for the receiver box it's held in place by the webbing tension when cocked

Tip my brother is associated with a helicopter medical service, it is recommended not to EVER put your fingers in the area where the string goes load it from the front keep your fingers behind the string stops and not Infront of the arrow he fly's 2-5 people per year who don't to this and somehow managed to make the bow go off when loading it will drop your fingers on the ground I have owned numerous x-bows and never had a issue but have seen some nasty pics

Nice, but before I buy I would look at different companies for the new crossbows for 2021 and compare them as even the raven crossbows didn't even hold a group as good as the much cheaper centrepoint 415 .

You do have to backwind at least 3 times.

The cocking handle should have been a part of the crossbow, not a separate thing. Easy stuff to design really.

Axle to axle does not mean squat. Give us the width from the widest points when cocked. You can add 3 inches to your measurement for those cams sticking out. Isn't that an obvious factor you should be evaluating. That measurement allows you to consider how much room is needed when swinging the bow in a blind or stand.

Ten points are nice however, I’ll stick to my Excalibur Bulldog 440 and my MAG340 in Kryptec Raid Camo. I don’t see a need for the reverse drawl and I wouldn’t be able to change the strings and cables myself if I were to nick it while I’m getting to the stand or blind. With Excalibur’s I can change the string in the field and if the limbs splinter then I can change those myself too. You can’t do that with a compound bow and would have to take your crossbow to the pro shop and I don’t have one near me. The closest one is about 2hrs away from me. Plus, my Bulldog shoots 440 FPS and although it’s wide I am still able to use it in majority of the small blinds and tree stands.

I own Ten Point and Wicked Ridge and 2 Excaliburs. Without a doubt Excalibur is the better bow in every aspect. Durability, accuracy, speed. All other companies are trying but none are close

Inaccurate crank. Once string is fully cranked back and clicks in place, you must counter rotate crank handle before disengaging crank. That step was not properly done!

You don't have to, but you should so that it is resting in the same position after cocking, with no tension in the crank mechanism.

I absolutely would not invest again in this bow. It blew up on the first hunt and they could not give a clear explanation being that I reviewed all videos and owners manual. The customer service was unsatisfactory. Stay away !!!

I BOUGHT A NEW TEN POINT VIPER 400 LAST SEASON , I LOVE IT BUT ALL THE BOLTS AND SCREWS RUSTED OUT , TEN POINT WOULD NOT WARRANTEE IT ,THEY SAID IT WAS COSMETICS WHICH IS Bullshit , i had a ten point stealth ss for 10 years and nothing ever happened , why did all the bolts rust out on the new one .Tenpoint should stop the bullshit and warrantee the screws and bolts . I a m disappointed with them now

if your going to give information about something, how about knowing how it works and not giving bad advice. when you cock the bow unwind 2 full turns then press the black button on the bottom inside of the stock then unwind another full turn. and your from a bow shop. geeez

Ravin can only be decocked while holding button down, and can freespin if the handle slips while decocking. Not so with the accuslide. Also, the Ravins don't positively latch into the same position every time while cocked. Guy in this video was supposed to back wind after the click when cocked. Similar to Ravin but those technical differences are actually an improvement over Ravins sliding latch.

Yeah. They had plenty of time to fix it. I think looking around and taking my time to see how the new 2021 stack up before jumping into another crossbow is a good idea.
