I didn't know we had so many here in the know about this exact riser design. As always pj, nice review! Prime has always chosen to be different and innovative for better or worse. Some people are calling this bow ugly. Personally i think it is unique and in typical prime fashion, thinking outside of the box, and looking to change the traditional look of the modern compound bows. Good for them!

Thanks for the very in-depth review PJ. From talking with the designer/engineer, to a quick tune, to shooting on the range. It would have been neat to show the cam spacer change and how that is done, but overall excellent review on a very innovative, newly designed bow. Draw cycle looks pretty smooth. I do see a bit of left/right shake when you reach anchor and I've seen this in other reviews as well, but with a good stabilizer that settles down very quickly. Thanks again, I appreciate you taking the time to do all this!

I can’t remember a single bow release where people weren’t wildly disappointed and hating on everything. Prime is doing exactly what everyone is constantly asking for. Real innovation and thinking outside the box. I think the thing looks cool, and it’s a clever way of reducing weight while maintaining, or possibly increasing rigidity. I’ve never owned a prime so I’m not a fanboy. I respect and appreciate a company taking some chances and trying to move the needle a little bit. Bows have mostly stalled out the last decade in terms of performance. Maybe the reduced cost to machine smaller parts will allow more tech in areas where companies just need to save money? I don’t know. To me it’s cool. Less negativity!

I'm a longtime traditional archer who's just now dabbling in compound bows -- the design of this bow is super nice to me. Something that is a bit lame about compound bows is they all pretty much have the same jagged, angular, skeletonized look to them to save weight. But just the visual design of this bow alone has me putting it on my "someday" buy list.
