In this test the holding weights are different. I can’t say for certain why that is. What I can say is that I didn’t touch the letoff settings. I can also say that, in the past, if I hit the back wall harder with this scale, I have increased holding weight. Is that what happened here? Maybe. I was paying more attention to making sure draw weight matched. I couldn’t have reduced the letoff poundage for the SystemX test anyway because it was set at the maximum.

It appears they also offer custom center serving size options according to the type of nock used. Some lighted nocks require a smaller diameter center serving for proper fit. IMO, that's a great option that you can select when ordering, but I'm not sure if other builders will do that or not.
@tsi-rocket4144
@tsi-rocket4144 52 минут бұрын
I switched to gold tip nocks for my victory .204 arrows because the height of the nock on the strings is the same as a lot of the lighted knocks. I've also found the required center serving diameter is very close to the same with the gold tip nocks and lighted nocks I'm using. My last string builder wanted what nock I was using when I ordered the strings so the center serving was right for the nocks I use. Difference between gold tip nock and an aae IP4 or easton nock. Most custom builders will center serve to the diameter you want but you have to know what that diameter is. It was a lot easier for me to let the builder know what nock I use and let them figure out the diameter. The builder that asked what nock I use served the correct diameter so I either got lucky or they knew what they were doing.

He could've hit the back wall a bit more aggressively this changing the holding weight. I've tested that on mine as well to try and get the most accurate back tension "hold" as possible and it does in fact change based on how aggressively/smoothly you come off that valley. Not saying I know everything I'm Just putting my two cents in in case anyone has done or has had the same results based on random testing like I did. Could be wrong though! So I didn’t change the letoff. You are correct the holding weight did change. I’ve found that holding weight on this LCA scale can go up if you hit the back wall hard, but that’s a guess as to what happened here. I can’t say that’s what happened for sure. I can only say I didn’t change the letoff……

@ericnewman971

if the holding weight is correct, there is an increase in holding weight of 21.875%, which means the draw curve is not the same. So now we ask the question, is the stored energy the same. If it's not, then an increase in stored energy will increase velocity. .This is good for customers. Bad for manufactures haha

You are correct…..I didn’t change any settings and the only way for me to manipulate holding weight is via letoff. I didn’t touch the letoff. I have had these LCA scales give me different letoff readings depending on how I hit the back wall. I don’t know if that happened here, but for me to reduce the holding weight to match the factory strings reading I would have had to increase letoff and it was already maxed, so there was nothing I could do about it.

My A3 archery bloodlines gave me closer to 10fps and they don't stretch. 2 years on, paper tuned after 10 shots and still shots a bullet hole, they haven't budged, not even a 1/16 or an inch. Highly impressed with them, only downside is the wait time, took close to 6 weeks and I'm a very impatient person when it comes to gadgets and gizmos I buy 😂 If your dumb enough to spend this much in 4-5 fps then your an idiot, I have gas strings on my pse and I am not impressed at all with them, ince they're worn out ill be going to A3 bloodlines just like my mathews, every single shot with them I am confident that my arrow is coming off the string perfect 👌 even after 3,000-3,500 shots minimum, the gas strings I had to re paper tune after 500 cause the strings stretched. Gas has great marketing and a dope a$$ name, they are better than factory strings but they should be about $50-75 cheaper. Am I saying A3 is the best there is? No, there's probably better strings out there but it ain't gas and I know this first hand from experience. But again just my opinion from what I own and and try. Gas marketing is phenomenal and they will make a boat load of money off 3 fps 😂 I get it, people are dumb and they know this
