I been shooting a uv hinge since day it came out. Its perfection. Ive tried others, but keep xoming back

The UV adjustment screws are too small for my taste, rounded out the lock screw (ham hands !!)

It's about time they made the switch to a magnet and got rid of the rubber bands. I hope they put magnets in the Ascent as well, which already has independently adjustable click and fire.

Scott don’t produce it in L size. How would you compare the standard size of the expert with the L size of the longhorn pro micro? Thanks

Beyond the brass instead of stainless and spring return, is this any different than the Ascent?

Yes…..the handle is very different

Always puzzled me why they didnt immediately go to the dual moon system when this iteration of the long horn came out

It looks like there may be three different size Allen bolts which may get old
@loki8284Ай бұрын
@@colingregory7464 that's how it is with the Ascent (which the dual-sear design on this hinge is based on). It's not bad if you use a folding key set, but if a company makes all the parts themselves, it would make them a lot more user friendly if they standardized the hardware.

And preferably not with micro Allen's (like the UV)
@colingregory7464Ай бұрын
There is a degree of "Ham Fisted" user beware but "most" people seem to want to tighten the lock to prevent shifting and small Allen's are both harder to find and easier to round out. Small star bits might be a viable alternative (much less likelihood of rounding ?)

Had the OG Scott Longhorn, had a horrible design flaw. After you made adjustments to the moons, while tightening the lock screw, it would apply some force to the moons and make them move out of position. Spent hours trying to get that thing to end up like I wanted. Also, the design is good and simple yes, but after one end, you're sweating from your hands and that thing is as slippery as it comes. No finger grooves, nothing, just pure metal slipping out of your fingers. Wrapped mine in Isotape.

So this is the first Longhorn release to feature two separate moons. Previous versions of the Longhorn had a single moon, with different moons for varying click speeds that you had to change out if you wanted.
