I know this is a random comment, but I really admire and like the body and physique of cyclists. All that cardio and intensity just strips the body of fat and toxins and leaves it with lean muscle. So inspiring.

The dude beat cancer and then consecutively kicked ass in the world's most difficult cycling event. My Father died from cancer, I saw what it did to him, and understand the grueling nature of the disease of cancer. It takes all your strength from you. Truth really is stranger than fiction, and Lance Armstrong is living proof of that. Say what you will about him as a person or athlete, but he embodies that perseverance can truly pay off. That's why I like him so much.

After watching my wife of 27 years married...survive ovarian cancer 13 years ago and the Zest she has for life now and the will to live. I know thats nothing the Human body can't defeat....The Chemo sessions, the lost of hair, lost of strength, depression. But her will to survive was GREATER!!!! I'm in love with my wife more than ever. We've raised three great kids together. At the end of the day lance has motivated and inspired a handful of close friends to not sit back and let cancer ruin or worse, end, their lives. He's the catalyst that saved their lives and for that myself and the people I love have the utmost respect for the man. Lance IS a legend. Fact.

Thank You @simonsurfnz I did it too. Lance is my inspiration for life, and I belive he's clear. Every time I see this video, I get another power to live, to deal with my problems, when I see this Man or God riding a bike. I love cycling because of Armstrong. He is my Hero, and when I can't go on I just watch some of his videos and that's all I need. Because of Lance I know I am not gonna surrender, I will pass my exams (at the end of April) and I'll become a man I want to be. LIVESTRONG!

And they do so to the extent that they seem to have superhuman strength just at the right moment that enables them to break free of the pack. @u368, Lance being National and World Cycling champion at such a young age (22), Is a great sign of things to come. Athletes develop, records are broken. In 1993, at the Hamburg club, Ullrich won the world amateur road championship in Oslo, as Lance Armstrong won the professional championship. Great talented riders (that develop).

See, you're on to something. Sports from today are much different when compared to their past counterparts. The competition is much more fierce and plentiful. It literally is impossible for a rider to win all the important events in one season because if you win one event and deplete all your energy reserves you fail the next one. I believe he is an amazing cyclist who worked very hard to get to where he is, winning arguably the hardest road cycling event 7 times is nothing to demean. Legend...

If you have followed the competitive sports of cycling for any meaningful period, then you would understand how difficult it is to win any race, let alone a Grand Tour like Tour de France. And he won it 7x...in a row too. Please give him the respect he deserves. He has done more positives for the sports of cycling than anyone in recent history, esp. here in US and let's not forget the inspiration and vast works of charity he has given for the ppl with cancer.

Honestly, I don't understand why people dog on Lance Armstrong.... People make fun of his riding, his cancer, his character, etc etc. Some of you don't realize how much effort and hardwork it takes in order to accomplish a feat SO great.
