One thing I cannot figure out about America now - why is it so hard for people to make a rational judgement call on cheaters? Everyone was doing it -- oh ok well that makes it ok. This man plowed through the lives of people who pointed out his cheating. How about the way Lance was so comfortable with lying about cheating? That gives me the creeps. He is not a victim. He didn't make mistakes - he made choices. He knew the outcome would happen, he still wrecked people's lives. The fact or fiction that others were doing it - leveling the playing field like some commenter asserts is not remotely relevant. It's like we as a country have disregarded the idea of standards. Its pathetic.

I have a good friend who is into that “sport”. I asked him about Lance and doping. He told me everyone of those guys, for years, have been doping. It was a level playing field. What was a tragedy was they didn’t bring that out.

This guy has had his legacy destroyed and all of his titles stripped from him for doing what literally every single athlete in every single sport for the last two decades (at least) has done: used performance enhancing drugs, and it's ridiculous.
