Looking forward to this!! I always enjoyed Jaws The Revenge and found it to be unfairly criticized. Yes there are some obvious flaws, and the finale isn't the best (Liked the impaling version though!), but it's a creepy film with good acting, a great soundtrack, some scary moments (Sean's death, Banana boat, ship wreck chase) and even some clever ideas such as having a heart monitor track the shark's heart beat, and then shock it near the end. Did it all work out perfectly? No, but I appreciate the film and what it tried to do.

One thing not mentioned was that Lance guest would be invited as one of the pallbearers at the funeral at Judith barsi who played his daughter and Lorraine Gary's granddaughter thea Brody as in July 1988 one year after Jaws the revenge and at her Canoga Park California home she was shot in her sleep killing her instantly by her abusive alcoholic death threating father jozsef barsi who then shot while murdering her mother Maria in the hallway two days later he set fire to the house then went into the garage and used the same murder gun to kill himself which was why Lance said something about her mum always so nervous with a strong accent from hungary

I really enjoy Jaws The Revenge very much. Jaws 3-D is ok with me, Jaws I absolutely love and Jaws 2 is entertaining it's like The Lost World Jurassic Park in my opinion. However, Jaws The Revenge (1987) is my personal favorite. Lance Guest is awesome in this film as Michael Brody and Mitchell Anderson was great as Sean Brody too. This film creeped me out the most when I saw it on SUPERSTATION WGN back in 2000. Btw this interview was fantastic good job my man 👍. The scene that creeped me out the most was when Jaws was chasing Michael Brody in the sunken ship. That scene is my top 100 scariest movie moments. I wonder if Lance Guest misses the mechanical shark Jaws I mean If I was him I would lol.

@@KDubb-ws9zc I thought the storyline and writing in Revenge was good with Brody Jr. being a marine biologist and being wracked with guilt secretly studying a great white while supposed to be tagging shell fish. @@pinebarrenpatriot8289 Brody Jr. Being a marine biologist wrecked with guilt would’ve been a great storyline but the problem was the execution of the storyline. I remember seeing Jaws The Revenge at the cinema in August 87 a month before my 10th birthday I'm now 44. I still have the tie in novel by Hank Sears. Which would have been great if Universal used the Voodoo sub plot & the fact the Hoggie (Michael Caine) was a drug smuggling ex C.I.A agent

I had the novelization back in '87 too but I never got through it (wasn't a strong non-comic book reader back then). Eventually I lost it years later. I don't care what anyone says. I LOVE JAWS: THE REVENGE. Always have. Yeah, okay...the great white following the remaining Brodys to the Bahamas is ridiculous...okay, agreed. However, I think the shark looked amazing. I love the characters. The little girl who played Thea did an AMAZING job as a little actress (poor baby was murdered by her own father in real life I believe. Horrible). The fact that they brought back Mrs. Kitner and the other woman from part 1 for the scene when Michael comes back home for Sean's funeral is cool. And I think the whole Bahamas thing works because it's winter in Amity (so not much swimming happening) and it shows that the shark is that determined. Michael Caine (although he may speak poorly of it now) did a great job as Hoagie. The whole banana boat sequence was awesome and looked real as hell. Plus I love (eventhough it's not shown in the theatrical cut) how the shark is killed in this one. Yeah it looks kind of fake (the killing) but it's just cool. They always showed the intended ending on cable (nostalgia...😁) and it's ALSO included as a bonus feature on the U.S. Blu-Ray, eventhough it doesn't mention it on the case. Lol I think they also call it a tiger shark on the synopsis on the case. Lol. Universal should get someone who's actually seen the movie to write those. 😅 Yeah, JAWS 4 definitely has some faults, but it beats 3 all the way. It feels like a warm visit back to Amity while part 3 (or 3-D) feels like the odd man out in my opinion. I'll always have a sweet spot for it. 🦈⛵

Really interesting interview and such fun to hear actors talk about their experiences onset and about the movie. I agree JTR is better than 3 and could have been close to 2 if all of it was filmed in Amityville (plus would have been easier to suspend disbelief) and maybe had another decent death scene or two to sell the danger of the shark a bit more. I thought the acting was above par all round and some of the shark scenes were better done than in 3 that's for sure. The original ending is better than the changed ending but another ten minutes or so of them Vs the shark in the third act would have helped the film. I think another Jaws movie is defo worth a shot by Universal. I'd go for a period piece as Jaws works best in the era of the first two. Funny when you look at it JTR is similar to H18.

Jaws V - Michael Brody is a lengendary underwater cinematographer, oceanographer and Underwater engineer. He is infamous for having spent decades hunting and killing sharks, some species almost into extinction. He lives in Australia and acts as a Hollywood underwater advisor on big horror movies. The movie is set in 2003 during the war in Iraq. An Australian navy diver contacts Mike to lead a team of divers in the gulf of Bahrain on a half sunken Oil rig. It is a rescue mission to save a hroup of rig engineers who are trapped underwater. To complicate things Mike's daughter Thea is visiting him when Mike is approached to do this and one of the people to be saved is Mike's mentor Matt Hooper. Thea finds a way to tag along as Mike is flown in to the war torn country. Further, when he arrives in Iraq Mike is contacted by his childhood friend and the son of Mayor Vaughn of Amity island. Larry Vaughn, now a conservationist, pleads with Mike not to do the dive, but Mike ignores him. Eventually Mike finds himself on the half sunken wreck of the rig with demolition charges about to explode, a group of Iraqui national guardsmen shooting weapons at him and his team and time running out for a wounded and elderly Matt Hooper. Throw in some sharks trpped in the sunken parts of the rig that they have to get through to disarm the explosves...
