Lance Kerwin "James at 15" Chiller Theatre signing my 16 mm film reel - Salems Lot star

R.I.P. Lance, 62 is just too young! I watched him back in the day when "James at 15/16", "Salems Lot", and all of the other TV appearances he did back then aired.... I saw every episode of "James at 15/16" and it was groundbreaking, with lots of controversial subjects that teens could associate with. It was a great show and I think today's youth would benefit from the morals they taught (let's hope for a dvd release!)....Thanks to Lance for being so cool this past October, 2022....I think having something like original film prints of the show (I own 3 episodes, yeah I wish I had more but not many exist!), helped us have a great conversation and I really enjoyed our time together. I'm glad I shot this..May you Rest In Peace Mr. Kerwin! -Bill B

I was at this show, too. It was the second time my wife and I met him and he was the coolest and nicest guy ever. Hearing he passed shocked and saddened both of us.

I liked Lance Kerwin too but my wallpaper theme was Tom Howell Ponyboy Curtis from 1983’s The Outsiders movie. I remember watching Lace in James at 15 and 1979 Steven King’s Salem’s Lot. He did a few other made for TV movies into the 80’s then just quit acting. I hear he has 5 kids 4 from his second marriage. I’ll always remember his cute face and really blond hair. So sad.

When he played that guys son that was a dynamite handler / explosives on a episode of little house on the prairie ! I believe it was like the 3rd or 4 th ep. Of the show! Rock on bill! Oh yeah! It's crazy man Lance was what I call quiet cool u may not ok know it right away but boy u find out later how good he was I'm 53 so born in 69 so I remember James at 15 I was 8 when the show was on and the Salem's Lot I remember not being able to wait for the movie to start I was so into monster movies then seeing Lance in Escape to Witch Mountain too and then on tv and being in such a classic horror film like Salems Lot and it seems as far as I'm concerned was a decent human being and that's all we all can hope to be.

Oh how I loved LANCE Kerwin in the late70’s &early 80’s . Watche his TV movies and watched James at 15. He just sort of disappeared from acting.He was a cute humble actor . About 5 years older than me . I was so shocked at hearing he had passed away. Also by just how much he had changed. I don’t even recognize him. Always remember that cute face and blond hair guy I remember . Lance Rest In Peace my sympathies to your children and all your loved ones. I’ll miss you. Gone too soon. Loved your acting💯♥️🌟😔✝️

That was really rude and a low blow to a man who was a respected actor during the 70’s and early 80’s He got married and has 5 children and lived in Hawaii as a youth pastor. He voluntarily left Hollywood and acting. Not because he was “Washed up” as you put it. Respect the deceased!!
