Great show. Build.. paint..weather...get a train running. Learning curve comes fast when you enjoy it.

During the video somebody asked the dimensions of the Monon N scale layout photo. One of the things that I think would help with photos of a layout is to show what the whole of the layout looks like. Showing the Monon or the Miami photos, I’d like to see more about how the scenes fit into the layout. Boomer’s videos are GREAT for this because you can see how he photographs his scenes and how they’re fit into the layout as a whole. The palm trees with the small ditch or canal between two tracks where there’s a boxcar across the water and a covered hopper hiding behind some bushes? How does that look when you back up, how does it fit into the layout?

Lance is the one who made me switch to Switching (layouts).

Enjoy your podcasts. Boomer and Lance were great guests. Both influencers to me along with Don Irace. Don would be a great guest - his layouts and operational/detailing skills are outstanding. Once I get my 12’x20” shelf layout and YT channel tightened up, I’d love to get on your podcast and discuss how I’ve incorporated the philosophies of your guests and others into my small, but functional and hopefully realistic and prototypical modern industrial layout.

I think the junk is what makes the layout stand out! It adds so much to the realism and overall appearance. I'd never seen anyone else do it.

With all these master modelers, this is the new spot! Great job boys.

Great to see this N Scale Monon scene and particularly the Thoroughbred's composition. I have that exact train packed away in my train room closet, along with some of the Monon Freight locos and rolling stock, sadly bequeathed to me from a friend who bought it after Lance moved from N.

Well, you've sold me a book. That was a great show, and it's nice to have this stuff in a format where I can listen to it while I'm tidying up my workbench.

Great interview with Lance. And I'm right there with you Mike. I'm just overwhelmed with everything Lance said and going to have a hard time trying to process it all in my head. I'm already looking at parts of my meager beginnings on my layout and wanting to tear them out and redo them after listening to Lance.
