Class Act! Lance Mountain is underrated, both as a skateboarder and a human being. Humble, loyal, insightful, talented and young at heart. Please, if you see someone of the younger generations getting into skateboarding, introduce them to Lance Mountain. Help them find the joy and respect in skateboarding that will live in their hearts and push them when they are struggling, and even help them be content in their abilities. Thank you, Lance! You deserve every accolade bestowed upon you and much, much more. Respect!

I had the Honor to see live sk8 from Lance, after some years of watching the Prof only at magazines. It was good even after lance sk8 beign robbed... that was more than 30 years ago. The event happened in Amadora, Portugal, (Europe) at Radical sk8 clube (RSC). our shared band among Lisboa sk8rs was... Suicidal tendencies. a lot of others also but, ST were our musical flag. thank you Santa Cruz, Powel Peralta, Independent (best trukcs ever) and all the punk, hardcore, grindcore bands that made us lead to magic.

Great speech by a man that recognizes God and all the people who helped along the way. I saw The Search For Animal Chin in the early 90's. Skateboarding had taken on a different form at the time of my viewing but I was still awe struck and began my life as a skater for life. Shout out to Lance and the rest of the Bones Brigade. Glad to see you can all still rip.

"Never the best"...WTF?!? Just check wikipedia and his stats ! how many contests he won ! competing against hawk, hosoi and the rest...he beated them all ! at least once...

nikonekro Firstly, I love this guy, I skate at 41, so he's an inspiration, because of his character and because of his logivity. However, to have a balennced discussion, yea, in his prime, he beat them all once....but just once, or maybe twice. If you watch the Bones Brigade documentry, even he will admit he wasn't up there in terms of raw talent and struggled at times.....what he did have, which is better in my book, is he was an individual, like Neil Blender at the time, he was funny, individual and didn't take it too seriously and that's why he gets my respect...

Ok now... Not up there.. It only took him a month to learn a mc twist...

Ugh, the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. A cesspool of self-important and narcissistic, industry insiders. Don't get me wrong, I love Lance, but this institution makes me cringe.

Lance may not have been the best but he was very good. Even if he was the worst pro he was still a pro and that means he was in an elite group.
