So many callbacks to the past! Hyper Beam into Ho-oh mouth & Dragonite casually dropping Gyarados of. It all happened before. You can also see that Lance grew after fighting red. Not just his Charizard, but the way he communicates with his deaf Dragonite. The ... fashion. And that flame wheel isn't a flame wheel anymore, that's a freaking fire tornado! What a way to end the Johto arc and it definitely surpassed you're previous Gold vs Lance all those years ago. Been watching since episode 3 of Red released it's amazing to still be able to watch. Hats of to you Pedro, be proud of your work! And of course you casually drop Leaf at the end.

This is a great buildup to his battle with Red. What a battle, what a battle my friend. Typhlosion cleaning the floor with Charizard. The battle of legendary against legend, with proper respect, and while he fainted, the retribution with a kiss of death was peak. The final shock had me in feeling the shills over my body. Pedro my man, you never disappoint.

I was rewatching so i could get more references. And something that i noticed is that Gold hasn't struggled anymore, since his battle with Morty. He passed through a lot, like watching his Quagsire get his arms ripped off. Or when his Quilava almost got drown into water. But looks like since the moment that he learned how to battle with strategy with Whitney, faced his fears with Morty(Facing Red?) and surpassed what Silver has done with his Quagsire... Gold looks like someone that nothing can stop him anymore. He has tough battles, like the ones he had with Clair and Lance. But just look at Gold since the Team Rocket arc ended... He was JOKING with Clair, faced the Elite Four like he was on his peak! And look at gold's stance before LANCE, the guy that he saw facing two legendaries like it was a Tuesday... Gold knew what he was doing the entire time. He wasn't thinking nor caring about losing. It was like he was certain of his victory. Especially when he called out Typhlosion. Even Typhlosion was calm.

Wow, what an amazing end to the Johto region 👏🏽 I got so many things to say for this episode, but will try to keep it short lol. The part with Ho-Oh remembering Dragonite from the radio tower despite being under mind control was an amazing touch. Typhlosion going for the finish while remembering glimpses of all of the gym battles showed how meaningful the battle was for both him and Gold. When Gold pushed Silver into Kris, I almost thought Silver was about to push Kris into the water 😂 And Gold vs Green was a perfect preview to what I'm sure is going to be an amazing 2nd half of this series! Pedro, honestly, this is my one wish for this series come true. Thank you so much for including so many references to the original lance vs gold. This whole series is really incredible. I’ve been watching ever since I saw the Pokémon Red animation. Your story telling and your ability to give so much emotion to these characters is really something else. I am loving it. Keep up the great work your doing and amazing job Pedro

I love how Gold finished the battle with his first pokemon. They've been through the most together. Kanto will be exciting! Imagine the battles with Red and Blue.

THAT WAS SO AMAZING! Holy crap, I think Typhlosion vs Charizard was your best fight animation yet, that was so sick! And the massive battle with the last 2 Dragonites! I was pogging through the whole video, my word! Plus the POV shot from Mt. Silver as foreshadowing. MWAH! Chef's Kiss! You, sir, are an amazing animator and storyteller.
