It isn't really an investment. Lawrence mostly thinks of this gig as Lance's weekly allowance. He also enjoys being in the paddock and networking. So it's a win-win. If you're a billionaire and the kid wants to race, you will fund it. Even if he loses the money, he doesn't give a shit.

The reason his dad bought the team was that no team would hire Lance. Because he's a sh8t driver. He's a passionate driver, but he just can't drive. I hope the Stroll's leave F1 as quickly as possible and make room for a team that has actual talent for drivers.

I tend to agree. What do you make of his f3 career? Ok talent plus great machinery beats even great talent in anything less performant, every time?

Lance is an ok driver. He's not too bad, neither is he good. The problem is that his teammate is Fernando Alonso and obviously he'll look bad compared to Alonso. Nando brings in 50-70 more points per season than what the car is actually deserving of.
