Part 18: • Lance "Un" Rivera: Str...
Part 1: • Biggie's Business Part...
--------
In this clip, Vlad started off speaking to Lance “Un” Rivera about Suge starting beef between Death Row and Bad Boy at The Source Awards, and Vlad went on to ask Lance about 2Pac’s diss record, “Hit ‘Em Up.” Lance explained that after 2Pac got out of jail, Biggie was the biggest artist at the time, and he went on to speak about the first time they heard Pac’s diss record. Rivera explained that he immediately wanted to retaliate against 2Pac and Death Row, but it was Biggie who stopped anything from happening. Vlad then asked Lance about Biggie crying after hearing “Hit ‘Em Up,” and Lance spoke about how 50 Cent took 2Pac’s formula for using diss records to get at the top rapper.

It's because Puffy said some slick shit when Pac was in prison. He was saying Tupac was talking all that gangsta shit and and now that Pac went to jail he too scared to do the time. Pac was furious about this what Puffy said. Puffy is who pissed Pac off and he was mad at Biggie because they were supposed to be boys

Biggie was never bigger than Nas or Mobb Deep. All 3 of them were on the same level. If anyone was running New York at the time, it was Wu-Tang Clan. They had the biggest following and the most respect. The reason Biggie got as big as he did was in part due to the controversy he had with 2Pac.

PAC said it himself in an interview, the real reason he came out with all that aggression was because when he did that vibe interview from jail, he was over thug life and wanted to be positive and do things for the community, but then puffy said in another interview there is no jumping in and out of thugging, you suppose to die living that lifestyle, and other people were slandering his name, so he saw that and said ok you want thug life , and came out with a vengeance

Yeah, but Biggie was ruling at that time, just look the numbers, read the critics consensus. Pac was always people's champ, Biggie was praised all around and was selling lotta records. Pac only achieved Biggie's height at death row, at that point, he even surpassed Biggie... But biggie would probably get the awards and praise had they lived, cause he was more artistic and crafted his albums better than Pac, who was rushing music through bad contracts...

He's lying about Pac;s diss motives. Pac had no reason to be jealous of Biggie's success.. Me Against The World went double platinum while Pac was in prison. Dear Mama single went platinum while Pac was in prison. That was in 1995. Both album and single were released in 1995. Whereas Ready to Die was released in 1994. Biggie' wasnt even double platinum until the end of 1995. It took over a d@mn year and countless hit RADIO singles and appearances on remixes for Biggie to reach double platinum. Why tf would Pac be jealous of that bs???? So Biggie wasnt the "King of rap." Nas is not even in the conversation. Because Illmatic was barely gold in 1995. 1995 belonged to Bone. They sold over 4 million that year. Pac was in 2nd place, while in prison, and before he signed to Death Row. Biggie didnt start doing numbers over 2 million, until he d!ed in 1997. Gene Deal even says Puffy, Andre Harrell & Jimmy Henchman hated Pac and knew about the set up for Pac to get shot. They was all up in the offices at Quad Studios...they knew that`s why they got called out in Pac`s song Against All Odds. But I really don`t think they ever could be friends again after the beef, if they were still alive. Pac had his issues with BIG though no doubt. That's a simplistic way to explain why Pac targeted B.I.G. that boils down to Pac was jealous so he wanted to destroy his friend. You left out a lot of other factors to reach that conclusion and Vlad again, just plays into it. I feel like there has been a shift with Vlad and how he views Pac as a person. Starting to feel like some hating now.
