Part 11: • Lance 'Un' Rivera: Big...
Part 13: • Lance 'Un' Rivera Saw ...
Part 1: • Biggie's Business Part...
--------
In this clip, Lance "Un" Rivera detailed how the Lil Kim and Foxy Brown beef developed out of competition with one another which brewed into a potential war between the two sides with AK-47s being drawn in anticipation of a shootout. He talked about how Kim and Foxy were "sisters" at one time but the rift between the two has still not yet been mended. Rivera also noted how Nas's and Biggie's issues stemmed from competition as well and Nas not wanting to feel as if he was under Biggie's shadow.

There was no way Nas was going to appear to look like he was under Biggie, especially at the time that Biggie was blowing up. Nas was fine with making a a joint project, but when Biggie blew, Nas would look like Biggie's son in Junior Mafia. Nas ain't having that. 😄

Jr Mafia had more commercial success because of Biggie's popularity. Puff did a good job of making Biggie appeal to a mainstream audience as well as the streets. But lyrically, Firm was on another level. Especially considering Biggie had to write every verse and none of them were really rappers to begin with. Firm with Nas, AZ, Nature and Fox. That album was crazy. Very underrated.

Y am I just really realizing that Nas built the firm off Brooklyn. I always knew Az & Foxy are from Brooklyn but never really put together he really built The Firm off Brooklyn. They really was piggy backing of each other cuz big definitely took the baby on the album cover after Nas

Missy is hip-hop. She took a lil of everything and her own style mixed it together. Lil Wayne says Missy was his influence. She has contributed so much. Writing music such as for the late great Aaliyah❤ Love u Aaliyah u are so missed. Your void in r&b / hip hop has never or ever will be able too

Jay-Z’s name is OPENLY in the credits of the Ill Na Na album. Fox Boogie would have needed Jay super glued to her body at that time to make her even sound coherent on an album with Kim. Listen to her verse on Mia X’s Party Don’t Stop to see what she could come up with on her own back then.👎🏾👎🏾

@@reinaldoalvarado4884 Jay helped write the title track, Foxy's Bells, If I, the WHOLE I'll Be. Her name wasn't even in the credits for I'll Be and Jay wrote Big Bad Mama from that era as well. I won't say she didn't write anything but she definitely would have needed Jay as a coach for that Thelma and Louise album.

Steve Stoute and Trackmasters had a lot to do with Nas’s career when “It Was Written” came out…he was also instrumental in Foxy’s career and when he saw that Biggie and Un sold half a million with Junior Mafia and only a couple of members actually had talent…he saw dollar signs because he had his ambitions of having billboard top 10 hits…when Puffy and the Hitmen took Biggie from ashy to classy…Steve Stoute pushed out Mc Serch and Large Professor…Nas became Escobar…no more nasty!

@@ArtisanWindchimes you bugging. Lmao. Nas had critical acclaim waaaay b4 Big. Did not make a drop of sense to be part of Junior Mafia. The bars on Live at the Barbecue made him the most anticipated emcee ever. Anyone who was alive breathing at the time can attest to that. The Biggie bit the man's album cover. This All sums up that Puff had both Pac and Biggie killed cause 97' was Puffy Year every single or Remix he release or from Bad Boy went #1 Grammy Winning along with Mase and Biggies Legacy. He no longer needed BIG to write or come after Nas along with PAC dissing NAS and Jay. Who Both were imitating The Bad Boy style (Firm Biz and Sunshine) which flopped. And Puff wasn't trying to be part of The Commission 🗽 or have Biggie Above him.
