Lancel is a classic case of delusion of grandeur, and many people playing the GoT registered this pretty fast. He does everything he's "promised", and is void of any real traits or personality. He makes himself a rug, because his last name wields all his power. So, no one cares to hear the words or see to the comfort of a arrogant and naive boy who wants to play Knight. He jumps into bed with Cersei, and even then tries to claim he's just following orders but Tyrion calls it out. A promised position, a knew rank in knighthood and free forbidden sex from one of the most powerful women in the world... he's made himself a very nice foothold for power. He's just too stupid to realize the price of all of that. His desperation is clear, and amongst wolves... he didn't stand a chance. Even when he joins the sparrow... its performative.. and look how he gets when he gets power again. "There will be violence." Against the woman, he was just banging 3 times a day...

How do you think Cersei would react knowing Lancel was on good terms with Tyrion? That's how I saw it anyway. I wish Lancel had more screen time and that him and Tyrion developed a better relationship later. Would've been interesting to see personally.
