Beautiful, yes. Hand-cramping, also yes. And that's why I HATE that pattern!

So expressive ... I can hear that element of anxiety and yet steely resolve of Lancelot. Amazing ✨️ ✨️✨️

What an exciting piece! There's some kind of menace in there. It sounds a bit like making a plan for a big battle to come... Excellent job, David! ❤

Pure enjoyment! Ah, yes, that left hand pattern that says 'David Hicken', but refreshing, comfortable and familiar sounding at the same time! Great piece.

Impressive David, simply and utterly amazing! You never cease to impress. You just transported me to a wonderful medieval legendary tale. Your music is a feast to the ears and to see you play is a feast for the eyes. I am so looking forward to the next episode of this amazing saga and of course looking forward to your future album. As always, thank you.

I love the exciting driving rhythms in this new piece! It definitely sounds like a knight on a suspenseful quest. I love how well this piece pairs with "Galahad." Maybe we'll see Bedivere or Guinevere next? 😊

How does one even come up with a music like this?? 🤩 (And consistently, no less!) Go David!

Ok so this is the video I realised this on. Your command of hand skill is amazing. You are playing four parts with two hands. Bass with pinky and a rhythm section in the left and lead melody with a lighter rhythm section in your right. And each part played with different levels of volume as required. Stunning. So now do I just give up and hide? or do I take inspiration and try to learn. I suspect you spent many hours honing this skill because it's hard and you make it look so effortless. I'm not sure I could ever put in that level of dedication.

I appreciate your kind words. This piece is quite simple compared to a lot of the classical repertoire, and that’s where the inspiration and ideas come from. I suggest playing lots of music from the classical repertoire as well as scales an arpeggios, and you can easily do this.

Every time you play those fast rhythms I forget to breathe. I love this so much! A wonderful piece, thank you for this listening pleasure.
Love it 👍 so powerful and yet so very playful! Love your Kawai! I got the GS30 K.Kawai but yours is a complete beast

Another amazing very exciting fast piece that has every ingredient to make us happy and conquering ! Your left hand is so impressive and perfect, the velocity of all this is incredible with your fingers bouncing with such preciseness on the keys, you make it look easy to play, only very talented pianists can do that 🤩And the senza ped. all along gives even more this sharpened sensation of precision. Thank you for this absolutely stunning composition, we are conquered ❤🖤

Ahhhhh perfection!!!! That signature driving left hand of David Hicken I love..... and what a stirring and beautiful melody line dancing over the top!!! This needs a full orchestral score - in fact, I can almost hear it in just the piano alone...... amazing David!!! Thank you
