Lancer A/C and heater control replacement

In this video with my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer, I replaced the climate control unit because the shaft of the climate control unit had snapped long ago. It was in dire need to be replaced, but the car lacks air conditioning. More will be added to description soon.

There's a Free recall from Mitsubishi. They removed the old grease and replaced it with a better grease. I had my free recall and it's much better now.

what is the top hornace called that you disconnect & reconnect back to the ac heat panel?

Can you lubricate the blend door any? Seems like on my wife's 2002, the blend door is sticky which is causing the whole problem. :(

In that type of car another type of control can be adapted and what would it be?

I have the exact same issue. The temp control dial snapped off. But is it really necessary to replace the whole climate control unit? Can't you just replace the temp control knob and shaft?

My outlander knob just broke yesterday. No I don’t believe it’s necessary.

Hey we have the same car. I’m having issues with mine. So when the engine has been driven for like an hour it’s ok but if I wait like 2 hours and then start it. It starts and then sputter and sometimes shut off so I have to press on the gas or just take off. What could be the issue?

Could be a variety of problems that IAC or it could be something like a fuel pump or something that’s even completely unrelated unfortunately it’s hard to tell. What it sounds like it’s a fuel pump did you ever figure it out?
