This dude right here's the best Lancer Fixer on the tube,, Iv'e had my Oz rally for 4 yrs now and have always come back to your channel for support,, here every owner Iv'e come across has had this same issue with the control stems breaking eventually,, seems to be air bubble pockets when casting the molds,, typical problem with these applications. I also have a problem with my Evo 8 heater control knob. There is a kink in the cable which prevents it from moving the gears so I have to reach under there to change it from hot to cold and back. I've had the replacement cable for like 2 years now and havent tried to install it because I had no idea how.. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle! Thanks.

hey i just was doing my now..helped alot!! on last problem is that when i hooked up the black cable back to the link arm,once i switch my knob to cold or hot the cable in the bottom wont push the pulley (link arm)up or down..do i need a new link arm? or what would the problem be?

control cables being like bicycle brake cables using teflon lubricant from bike shops on the steel wire might help reduce the friction. this and PTFE grease like ultimox 226

What is the blk cable called do you have a link for it also? I have the old gear set. It's not so great n they warped making the heater ac controls stiff. Is it possible to just change the gears and the cable is just really worn from the bent gears.

Сломался тросик на печку, вылечил так. взял стальную проволку 1,5 мм отмерял по тросу, выгнул кольца промазал посадочные штыри и поставил в место троса сейчас все замечательно переключает

Hey Mackey! My 02 lancer only blows super cold air. No heat! The knobs and cables are fine i can hear the blend door moving fine. When on hot the hoses in the engine bay by the firewall both are hot so the heater core and heater actuator/valve is fine. AC light is always on green cant turn it off. Is it an AC fuse or is the circuit board on the HVAC shorted?

+The DarkDragonWing im moving the temperature knob from the bottom of the dash so i know its moving i can hear the blend door move and snap into place from cold to hot. blower is fine lots of air. as soon as the blower turns on Cold is always on cant turn it off.

I got the heat working i had to unblock the heater core there was no antifreeze going through it. As far as the AC light being on I believe it is due to the AC lines not being pressurized or something isnt working well in the AC cold side. so the green light button on is a way of notifying you. It should turn on when it gets hot with or without AC. If you're not having an overheating problem, I think it will be fine. Otherwise, you have to tell your mechanic.

She did check and told me that both fans are not turn on. Maybe i need to check the fuse? Please let me know. No over heating the gauge is in normal range.
