These new gears will definitely help. And they will work just fine. The real cause is the heater blend door. Though, I don't think you need to replace the blend door if it still works.

This dude right here's the best Lancer Fixer on the tube,, Iv'e had my Oz rally for 4 yrs now and have always come back to your channel for support,, here every owner Iv'e come across has had this same issue with the control stems breaking eventually,, seems to be air bubble pockets when casting the molds,, typical problem with these applications. I also have a problem with my Evo 8 heater control knob. There is a kink in the cable which prevents it from moving the gears so I have to reach under there to change it from hot to cold and back. I've had the replacement cable for like 2 years now and havent tried to install it because I had no idea how.. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle! Thanks.

Hey, great vid. I had a similar issue with my Mitsubishi colt where I couldn’t change from regular AC to the demister or other modes (ie the other knob was stuck).I took it to a mechanic and they “fixed” it so I could turn the knob, but it now doesn’t change from regular ac to any other mode at all (including To demister). When I asked they said that they couldn’t fix that issue and that I needed a new ac unit. Do you know if that’s the case or is it an easy fix? Cheers

control cables being like bicycle brake cables using teflon lubricant from bike shops on the steel wire might help reduce the friction. this and PTFE grease like ultimox 226
