I used to have to cross this to get to the fish and chip shop when I was visiting my nan back in the day.

... and in the 60s my sister and I used to stand on that footbridge and watch the trains while our Nana (and Grandad) were no doubt preparing lunch at their nearby bungalow. Nana passed away in 1978, and Grandad in 1987. Fond memories.
