It's been a while since I last did some squirrel shooting, but if you shoot most of them, then there is nothing else to shoot!
Fortunately for me they have respawned and I am back to it again.

Crackin bag and nice shooting. Biggest bag I’ve had over the last year or so is 11 and I’ve had that a couple of times. Good to see you leaving the Jays in peace, I’ve never been asked to shoot them to be honest and won’t risk doing so if not asked by landowner. Happy hunting bud, looking forward to seeing the next one. I’m struggling with back and Achilles pain so not getting out shooting greys or video so watching plenty videos on my subscriptions.

Nice video, and good shooting as usual. You may be surprised how many Jays are on the permission, I was told to shoot them on one of mine this spring to help reduce nest predation. Because they are not a gregarious bird you get the idea in your head that you only have one pair about, I shot 21 from one feeding station over an eight-week span, short 2 hour trips once a week.

That's a fair amount of jays. I don't see too many so I asked the farmer if I should shoot them. He said leave them because there aren't too many about. Good for balance.

Hello , another good video 👍. Nice to get confirmation that your work is paying off with the breeding bird numbers up. I’ve shot pigeons and left them on the ground as decoys which I think works, what’s your routine with the squirrels? Do the dead one scare them off or bring them in? Thanks

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. Usually the squirrels are fine with a few dead ones but when the pile starts to get a little bigger (maybe around 7-10) they become a bit nervous and then I will break cover and retrieve them.

Do you eat the squirrels? I know some do some don’t. What’s do you put on the front of your feeder to keep it from getting all shot up? Good job. I might see 15 in a couple of weeks except in the spring. Then I’ve seen that many at one time.

No I don't eat them, I give them to the farmer. fortunately I work in a place with lots of aluminium sheets, so I use that.

Are you using peanuts with shells or are you using Black oil sunflower seeds?

Just a big bag of raw peanuts from B&M. No shells, only skin.

I kill them all day long with a Crosman F4 and Crosman Legacy 1000 air rifle, bullets are loud, expensive and not needed. Some big bore air rifles are powerful enough for large game so much so that we don't need powder burners anymore except for home defense!

I’m too excited 😂 but in all honesty I enjoy sitting there and watching animals appear because they don’t know I’m there such as deers and woodpeckers and jays. Animals you don’t see too often.

It is full aluminium. As for the dimensions it's pretty much what you think you need it to be.

They’re more in the North and I’ve never seen one before. Over recent years we have controlled the greys quite well so hopefully we are giving them a fighting chance for the future.

Been shooting squirrels since I was a kid. Never really shot to many , until about 5 years ago............. I had one sneak into my shop / man cave for over a week. It did about $3000.00 in damage. Now.......I kill every single one I see , and I enjoy it!! Evil little bastards!!

Good stuff shooting grey squirrel. Try not to get target fixated. Waiting for the perfect shot. Also heart shots are allowed. They are an invasive species so any kill shot will do.

I really wish I had a place that was infested with squirrels. I am working an area where the homeowner is infested with chipmunks. Been doing quite well an average of 5/day. That adds up to a lot after a few weeks. Dispatched 46 chippers. I seen him today 7/25 and he hasn't seen any in a few days. They come out in the morning and evening and in the mean time I have other chores to do there.

Good aim. Just show the bouncing of each squirrel to the end. This behavior in intriguing after a head shot. At the end of the video , we were screaming : take the pheasant, leave the squirrel. But you didn't. Why is that ? The pheasant is good eating. better than squirrels.

Pheasant is currently out of season so it’s illegal to shoot them at the moment, but glad you enjoyed the video.

I really admire how patient you are on sight. Two hours is really not that long of a wait for your first shot, (however in deer hunting I've sat 4/5 hours and have only seen rabbits) but for you after a few minutes after the 1st shot they started coming in. To briefly put it grey squirrels cause huge damage to trees, stripping bark and causing them to rot and die. They steal song bird eggs which prevent song birds from producing. They are an alien species to the UK and carry a disease which kills the native red squirrel, but the disease doesn't effect the grey.
