I have so many different rifles to use but the one i always go to is my Hoggs back, Hw 100 in 177. I love this gun and even at the grand old age of 25 years old its still a fantastic gun. The secret is pellet matching and then sticking with them. I feel sorry for individuals who do not take the time to do this because it can make a great rifle simply brilliant. I’ve got the hw100kt and it loves jsb 8.44 grain 4.51 or 4.52. Day state 4.5 are great too out to 30 m. Need the jsb to get out to 40m on paper. My go to field pellets are the jsb Diablo 8.44 x 4.52. Rabbits are ok between 45-50m with those. Never tried heavy pellets. Looking for a slug that can work in .177 without blowing the chronograph up 😂

This was probably the best review of shot count chrono and pellet accuracy testing absolutely brilliant mate.For me it was Air Arms 5.52 mm a great pellet or the FX both producing tidy groups at 40 yards which is ideal in sub 12 ftlb.Well done looking forward to more of these 😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Cracking video buddy, I bought one a few weeks ago in 177 and it’s awesome, this is my third KT and they’ve always served me very well. My previous ones were all in 22 and since I bought an air arms s510 tactical last year in 177 it totally changed my thoughts on calibre as I was getting much better results and as you know they are just as capable as a 22. I’ve just bought a new air arms pro sport which I’m collecting next week that’s in 177 too, I’m a lefty so it’s cost a tad more but I believe it’s the pinnacle of any springer and it’s been one I’ve wanted for years but they never did them in left hand stock back then and as my health isn’t that good I’ve decided to get one now while I can enjoy it. I've got a kt in .20, which would only shoot 4.1/2 mags before running out of puff, I've had an Hw100tunings in house titanium cylinder fitted (250bar) with internal cylinder regulator( also in house!) the weirauch regulator is removed and a plenum chamber insert fitted.its shooting 7.5 mags at 11.9ftlb.super consistent too.its an utter rat smasher, luckily it loves H+n FTT'S 11.42 gn cos there's not much choice of pellets in.20(it doesn't like jsb 5.1mm😭)really great guns,it may be the only air rifle you ever need to own.excellent video mate, thoroughly enjoyed it.👍

Great video. I have 100s in both 177 and 22. I’ve not tested as many pellets as you, but my experience supports your results. Best results with Weihrauch FT exacts, AADF close second.

I have the kt100fsb with the weihrauch silencer. The barrel shroud enables to fit a standard cylinder or an AM cylinder for a higher shot count.

Best all-round air rifle on the market! Nowadays a bargain in comparison to some of the toot out there. A gun, not a TikTok accessory! Proper job with the testing lad! Worth noting that Daystate, Air Arms, FX and Weihrauch Jumbos are all JSB Jumbos, just limited batches of them, so should perform similarly, any difference being minor production variation (which can be better or worse). My 15yo .22 KS is very pellet fussy and hates H&N (and hence rebranded Bisley and Weihrauch FTs) and anything except JSBs. My newer .22 100 KT will tack drive any quality pellet. I'm liking the new H&N 18s in the new gun, but tend to go JSB as they work in both - Hades very good on rats at closer ranges, Jumbo Heavies at longer range and in wind. 7 mags in .22, 6 in .177. Worth saying that the smaller cylinder is a POP to hand-pump - 75 strokes of a Hill from red to green - no hardship. 300 bar Buddy bottles are great in theory with 2/300 shots, but you really need a compressor to fill em as they drain a dive cylinder to sub-200bar fast and overheat a hand pump.

I've gone full circle with airguns ..had 3 x AA 510s daystates etc ..I've always had my eye on hw100 ..only thing that's put me off is the low shot count ..if I could pick up one with the light weight bigger cylinder its a no brainer ..lovely looking gun ,accuracy seems to match 90% of any top gun ..they are hard to find used at the moment tho

Maybe worth noting, when I sent my HW100 off to HW100 Tuning, Weihrauch do not use pre scragged springs and so the power dropped off on mine noticably after about 6 months use. It went down to sub 10 ft lb. 12 months later, its never dropped power again.

Good review buddy. Give the jsb straton a try. They produce single pellet hole groups in both my weihrauch rifles (hw100 .22 and hw 99 .22) at 25metre and 5p groups at 50metre.

Weihrauch seem so consistently well made. At the pricepoint is there really anything better? I like the bullpup but that walnut stock is so well designed it's hard not to go for that. Maybe in the carbine as featured here. Although I like the look of longer rifles especially with a moderator

I have had mine 10 years now in 177cal I do not think you can beat them, my pellet head is 451 you have to try different size pellet heads to see what one is best for the gun, I shot h&n Baracuda 9.8 gr it smacks rabbits over at 40 yards easy, may I ask what scope you have on yours please.

I'm a lancs lad as well just learning to link in my garden with a cheap springer set up I'm really enjoying it do you shoot of sticks bipod type or free hand and which should I give more time to, I seem to be more accurate with my elbow leaning on a table should I stick with this until I improve . Depends on the situation. When shooting groups I use a bipod and a bean bag at the rear under my shoulder. When out hunting rabbits I'll be prone with a bipod. Rats and squirrels I use a tripod either walking or sitting. Freehand leant against objects when walking around farmyards.

HW100 definitely and I’ve owned both. The S400 is quite dated now being unregulated, single shot, no side lever.

Where the shots that sounded like a ricochet actually tumblers? Ive read the Karbide models produce a lot more tumblers than the full length rifle - I guess this may or may not be good depending on what you are shooting.

You can't really complain about either. I was after something slightly shorter where I can shoot at a set distance such as squirrels off a feeder, this rifle fits the bill for that. I'll use my AA S510 .177 for rats due to the carrying distances and flatter trajectory.

Falcon Accuracy + for me every time in .22. Their lighter weight give them a much flatter trajectory. Michael Tawn put me onto these a good few years ago when they first produced them and I've used them ever since. I do use them in .177 too but only in still conditions as they are easily affected by wind.
