Depends on a few factors mate- depth, current, line thickness and the type of lure (paddle tails and curl tails will decrease the sink rate, as will thicker lines). Play around with different sizes and As long as you can feel the lure hitting the bottom 3-6 seconds after hopping it up- you’re in the zone.

By all means try that area, but you can find flathead in pretty much any water along the shore in the harbour. Enjoy mate good luck 👍
