This video shows step by step how to remove and replace the distributor O-ring seal on your 1FZFE engine, usually found in the 1994-1997 Toyota Land Cruiser and the Lexus LX450 in North America. In other countries this same engine was used on other vehicle models as well and in other years.

Yeah, you made this way harder than it has to be. As you said, and for anyone listening, take the cover of FIRST, mark where the rotor is relevant to where it points to the distributor and then when you put it back on rotate it just a little so the gear lines up and it will be right back where you started. No need to re-time it.

Oh ya! You're right about that! For me it didn't matter because my plan was to reset it all anyway. But for the average person replacing just the o-ring my video ended up being a bit backwards.
