I think this clearly demonstrates that the Land Cruisers are SUV's that happen to be 4WDs while the FJ is a 4WD. Each has their place and not taking away from capability ..I just could not bring myself to roll a LC or LC Prado out in the bush. They look out as of place a taking a Dodge Caravan off roading.

POPPASHANGO I've got a Prado and also take my brother in law's 79 series trooper when driving to my village. the Prado is a great offroader.its practically the same chassis as the fj,just a different body. and it's diesel with a 150 liter fuel tank as standard.

The LC 200 series, Prado and the FJ are awesome vehicles from Toyota. They are reliable, tough and a joy to drive. My family was so happy with them, we decided to get all three 'Cruisers'. :D

FJ is land cruiser chassis based structure, but more efficient and specific offload design vehicle, it has proven to been the most efficient and powerful in its capacity. Not to say that prado and land cruiser are any bad, just that FJ is a better version of an OFFROADING vehicle, you give up on a lot of comfort when you choose the FJ.

any idea my 2007 TOYOTA FJ CRUISER shudders at around 35-45mph? they say it's the Torque Convertor or transmission fluid... I just got it and hope to make some mods. Thanks

Chance the transmission fluid with the recommended fluid. That should do it!

Fj has a rear diff lock compared with the 2 others have central diff lock, rear is better

FJ and Prado have the same frame and drivetrain. No vehicles here we're using lockers, just Toyota A-TRAC

Those drivers are horrible, I hope they weren't "professional" paid drivers. The FJ is the only one out of those that is a true 4WD, the rest are city drivers that just happen to come with 4WD. Wish they hadn't discontinued the FJ here in the state, I absolutely love my 07.
