Land navigation is a staple in Initial Military Training. Soldiers must be able to plot and locate points without the use of technology to successfully operate in any environment.

First find your grid square then mark your points and SP after that plan your route and make sure to measure how much distance is between each point from their find your azimuth degree and aim it on your compass and start rucking towards your point 😄

Don’t forget to convert g-m angle based on declination diagram. -5.1 westerly declination. Magnetic to grid azimuth, subtract 5 from magnetic azimuth. Grid to magnetic azimuth, add 5 to grid azimuth. Best wishes to new infantryman.
