This is one of you best videos yet! It brings a lot of things together in my mind. Maybe it just happened to come at a time when I am especially ready to watch it. But seeing the chords bleed into each other along with the pentatonic scale... man. Thank you!

Your original "Land of A7" video opened my mind up SO MUCH and that was almost 7 years ago. I'm just a subscriber here to support. I learned nothing new in this lesson or any of your new lessons these days, and that's because you've taught me so much that I learned how to teach myself. I'm a great player these days and I watch your videos still just to support and maybe catch a trick here and there. Thanks again Marty. KZbin taught me all I needed to know but out of all of the KZbin teacher's, you've certainly shown me the most.

Thanks so much for showing me how to play this when jamming with Jason Sinay! I would have just quietly noodled around the minor pentatonic, but this is how you jam with the big boys. You play something that adds to the mix instead of simply "being there." Then you can strum loud and proud! Awesome Marty!!!

I started this journey after I turned 69, and I gotta say its been 18 months since then and with practice everyday you can teach an old DOG new tricks. I am now playing G Blues, scales, E Blues, Pentatonics, 12 bar blues and even some cover songs by Van Morrison, The Beatles, The Stones, Allman Brothers and even the Eagles, even played Tennessee Whiskey. ALL that to say, no braggin_ bs here, really and truly. I don't need at my age, any significance or my old ego pumped up, what would I do with that anyway, at my age_ LOL.. but IF YOU WANT TO, YOU CAN DO THIS. If this old hound can, you can too, if you work at it. THANK YOU MARTY n many others for the GREAT LESSONS!!! Man I can check this off my bucket list... HA ha....

Yep. Love this. Sounds like rural blues. :) I will have to watch your fingers to learn that turnaround you did at the beginning. You know, the 'deedle-de-deedle-de-deedle-de -de' bit. That's my technical term for it anyway.

Hey Marty, I'm working my way through your "Essential Licks" free course. It's great man, thanks for the content! I'd love to see you explain why certain hammer ons work in these blues situations - like the 3rd finger on that G and D string, it would really help me grasp theory a bit more.

Hey Marty! Thanks for this lesson. I'm getting my first electric guitar in a few weeks time and I was wondering if you could do a series on first time electric guitar players? Like 101 type series of videos? Maybe some basic electric guitar tips tricks and licks as you call them haha. I'm scared I'm going to approach it like I'm playing my acoustic. Thanks for this lesson. I'm slightly obsessed with these lessons. Thanks.
