Depois do sucesso que foi a versão 8-bit de Castle of Illusion, a Sega decidiu investir mais uma vez nos seus consoles de mesa e portátil com uma continuação exclusiva pra eles dessa vez. Apesar de fazer parte da série, essa sequencia não tem ligações nem com o Castle e nem com a sua sequencia, World of Illusion.
Na história do jogo, Mickey dorme enquanto lia um livro de contos de fada e depois acorda em uma estranha vila. Margarida então aparece e pede ajuda para ele. Ela conta que o cristal mágico foi roubado dos moradores e desde o acontecido a felicidade foi totalmente substituida pela tristeza no reino. Mickey então decide ajudá-los e vai atrás do fantasma do mal que roubo o cristal.
Típico jogo de plataforma, Land of Illusion volta com as mesmas mecânicas de jogabilidade do jogo anterior, porém com seleção de fases, inventário com itens que dão acesso à partes diferentes das fases e coletar estrelas escondidas pelas fases que garantem uma pontuação adicional no final do jogo. Ao contrário do jogo anterior, este aqui foi feito inicialmente no Game Gear e depois portado para o Master System apenas na Europa e Brasil.

Oh man, this game is so well made for the Game Gear (no offense to that little beauty of course)! It's got quite a few different visual and gameplay elements you'd expect more from a 16-bit counter part. Pretty awesome unique/rarely used gimmicks too, like the buttons controlling the camera scroll. And the tile swapping to achieve parallax scrolling on the clouds was awesome. Hats off to the devs for this gem.

+Canal WarpZone esse jogo é quase perfeito, só reclamo mesmo da tela do Game Gear não ajudar muito em algumas partes. Acabo preferindo a versão do Master System mesmo

Me gustó la historia, pero me encantó como juego difícil. Pocos puntos de vida para tener cuidado y tiempo limitado para tener que correr. Los últimos niveles me hicieron sufrir de verdad... Y la música no ayuda a concentrarse precisamente... Es de estos juegos que te ponían de los nervios

O Gamegear era o PSVita da época em relação ao 3DS.... tb era o PSP da época em relação ao DS... e esse jogo mostra bem isso em relação ao concorrente da época que era o Gameboy Preto e Branco.

+Canal Vc Decide verdade, porém o Game Gear tinha um problema gravíssimo que nem o PSP e o PSVita passam hoje: alto consumo de pilhas! 6 pilhas AA eram necessárias para 6 horas de jogo! Você não leu errado... Era muito caro comprar tanta pilha assim pra ficar jogando por aí e comprar um adaptador de tomada limitava o uso dele.

could someone tell me the name of mickey's game that the first mission as far as i can remember was to bake a cake for minnie's birthday and also had another mission which was to suck the ghosts from the goof's house and one which was in the library of a cow

Land of Illusion is a little better than Castle of Illusion but Legend is a little choppy compared to the other 2.

Only on emulators, as far as I'm aware... But not all emulators. Good for you, Game Gear.

The Master System has it's pause button on the console itself, not in the controller like most systems.

But what about emulators, Jornada Gamer? I didn't live to own a Master System, not even in Brazil. Firstly, I'm a ukrainian, and secondly, I was born in 2004, well after the Master System was discontinued.

You can configure the Pause Button to any button on your controller. Any Master System emulator let you do that.
