Panoramic roof slides back, you can also do without a sunroof or I saw a folding fabric roof option, not seen that one in person though

@@PhilipBlank Thank you! A year after your review, how reliable are Defenders? Could they be taken off-grid without worrying about reliability? Everyone says Land Rovers are the worst in this regard. Cool looking.... but lemons.

A hybrid turbo supercharged engine? Is this proven technology?

That, is a great question haha. Modern Range Rovers and great reliability are not typically in the same conversation. As far as complexity, this engine has a ton of it and that alone is risk for lack of reliability. The supercharger I believe is actually electronically controlled and not directly driven by the motor, so it can be boosted independent of RPM while the turbo still runs like a classic turbo. For now it’s been an increase of power and capability of what you can get out of the engine, and seems great on paper but I really can’t speak to how long or reliable the overall system is. I’d be shocked though if you can get the same milage out of one of these as the old V8 that just keep going, there is just so much that can fail. I’m sure there’s gotta be other companies doing this as well, really not sure but time will tell!

Volvo has been using this twin-charged motors (turbocharger and supercharger) as well with their models. Seems pretty great!
