Love the video and how you go into such detail and even educate us on every little detail that isn’t even related to what your video is about. All of those related and non related explanations really help us understand everything that goes into that piece. When you show us the real installation process and all the little things that can go wrong, that is real world and it helps. Can you show us the reverse lights and how the video looks with them on in the dark? Thanks again.

We have actually tweaked the design a little to make the light appear more tinted - we changed the PCB ( printed circuit board ) inside the light unit to be black instead of white so it looks more discrete - but tinted would be another tweak.

Thank you SO much for making this solution. I just installed them yesterday and your video was instrumental in me being able to do it by myself. These extra reverse lights really solved a problem I’ve had since the first day I had my Defender, the backup camera can hardly see anything at night. Now I can see everything in my backup camera which makes it so much safer.

Hi Jay - we have sold a lot of these and the feedback has been positive - the reverse light is really below par on the Defender which is why we came up with the idea.

Just installed these on a MY2023 D110X and everything went well. Lost two clips, so the extras were much appreciated👍👍 I used painters tape around the edges to protect the PPF, which I think was a good idea. I took John Willett’s suggestion and soldered the connection at the bench. Prior to that I tested the connection by just using wire nuts to hold everything together and plugged it all together. After starting and confirming the positive connection, I soldered, heat shrinked, and taped the whole thing together. As others have already said, the lights make a huge difference in being able to see what’s behind you at night, and just as importantly look factory. Well done Simon and the PowerfulUK Crew!!

Just installed these on my wife's '22 Defender 110... she is very happy with the final product. There is now good clear visibility behind the vehicle both in the mirrors and on the cameras. Getting that panel off was no joke the first time, but I used a little piece of tape to mark where the fasteners were on the sides, not the white clips, and doing the second one I push/pry at that spot and it came off much easier.

Simon, was looking at these + the gloss black spoiler, and somehow tapping into the Running lights, so that way, you can have Amber running lights on the spoiler, then can use the reverse lights as intended as well. I bought these for the reverse pocket like you have, but doesn't hurt to have more reverse lights (more cowbell style)

I've just fitted these. Really easy to do. Do the soldering and heat shrink on a bench first, having mounted the lights to the blocks before you do. Make them up as a unit, it's easier to fit them when outside on the vehicle.

It would be nice if the injection-moulded piece had some sort of posts on it that the light pushed on to instead of needing to be screwed on, so you wouldn't have to have the silver-coloured screw heads showing. Or some covers for the screws.

Just got the delivery. I haven’t installed them yet, but initial impression is the lights are aimed slightly outwards. The dark spot with the original reverse lights seems to be in the middle (under the spare wheel). Wondering if the lights can be aimed towards the center a bit more to illuminate that dark spot. Anyway will post my impression after I’ve had a chance to test them. Another idea I have is to wire the lights from the trailer hook up. Should be possible to get a pin connector to power aux rear lights.

@@preetsarai Thanks for your comments - they are of course valid points - try the lights and see what you think. We have a connector coming for the trailer socket but that is for a power take off for accessories - i think there could be problems using the light signals from the trailer socket.
