Land rovers have a feature. They tend to make an adventure out of things that are usually routine. Absolutely golden!

Three Minutes and 12 seconds in - Here we have the best reason to own and drive a Series Land Rover. My 72 shorty put a smile on my face every time I got in it. I would go out for groceries and come back the pretty way on purpose. Had to sell it and it broke my heart. BUT I recently bought a reasonably original 109 truck, and happiness returns.

I don't even know why I ended up watching your socket restoration (good thing it didn't come to you in "excellent" condition) but it led me to this. I love old Land Rovers & Jeeps. I hate all the new stuff & so glad you are saving this one!

Geoffrey my dude, never before have I been so excited, and so blue balled in one five minute period. I’m embarrassingly hyped up for this project, but when I saw the video length (I appreciate it is just an intro) I felt deeply betrayed. I’m sure the next instalment will be as deeply satisfying as ever. Kudos mate.

This is obviously a labour of love . Practicality dictates that you rather rebuild an old Landcruiser . Those that come apart in bits like a toy. They are as tough as cowboy boots and as reliable as your mother. A friend of mine worked at a an opencast potash mine in Botswana in the 70''s ,where they found the Landcruisers were the only survivors. Just a thought
