Land Rover RUST REPAIR - Like new!

Taking care of this NEGLECTED Land Rover Defender 110 Td5 that has been sitting outside for the last 5 years.
In this episode we're cleaning up the chassis, welding some more and then we're applying some really nice rust-proofing products to make the chassis look like new, or even better!

In UK we call it a Needle Gun or Needle scaler gun. I live in the North of Scotland and we also have lots of winter salt and lots of rust. Fortunately I got my 2002 TD5 from the South of England , just a small weld needed on the rear chassis but lots of surface rust to deal with. I clean my chassis and cover it with Waxoyl for each winter. Another enjoyable video , thanks.

Yes, thank you!! Needle gun! Oh, that sounds nice! This one has lots of crusty bits on the bulkhead as well and all doors need replacing/welding.. Good idea to rust proof it yearly! Thanks for commenting 😊

the best thing you can do to any defender is get the body off and get it sandblasted then prime with zink primer and any paint of you choice on top of that ive done one with paint and one galvanised

Great video. I have been replacing the cappings on the rear tub. But have just kept going. So doors are now off and am dealing with rust on the sills and c post. Keep up the good work. Very helpful! Drew

Tusen tack för kommentaren! Carosolen köpte jag på Jula, spayburk kostade 80kr ca. Nu har jag köpt sån burk som man kopplar på spruta på kompressorn, då kostar en liter T03 129kr och en liter F40 kostar 99kr. Needle gun heter nålhammare. Den köpte jag också på Jula👌🏻 Biltema har också en tror jag.
