The scent of a pine forest is sole cleansing. Last fall I rediscovered a trail around a lake I had walked with my grandfather almost 60 years ago. It smelled the same! That wonderful smell of the forest. Isn’t it amazing how a scent can trigger a long forgotten memory?

The pine woodland has been planted and is not a natural woodland, which is a shame. But it does look peaceful. Winter looks a great time for a hike.
