Love the color, but the bare aluminium parts in my opinion would look better in black to match the grille / door hinges.

Beautiful job and well done.please don't change the engine as it's original. I restored my 88 2a a couple of yrs ago and kept the old 2.25 petrol as it's original

I wish it was. It's actually a Perkins 4.203. Loud and slow, and it wont keep all the oil on the inside :D But works for now.

awesome work but in my serie 3 the front wheel 235/85 R 16 touche the axle

Could it be you got other rims with different offset so it's closer to the chassis ? I don''t have issues the them touching.

I drove around and drove through Australia in just such a Land Rover Series 3 in 12 months. Same color, mustard yellow. A great vehicle. I had a 3.3 liter Holden engine installed in Australia due to engine failure. Question: Did you really get the roof sealed? I was told by a former mechanic in the British Army that this was normal for Land Rovers and that no Land Rover was leakproof.
@CMFotoPeakАй бұрын
Sounds like an adventure :) I have yet to have it tested by nature, but I sure hope it's leakproof in the seams. I'm more worried about the seals at the roof vents (not really shown in this video) and the windshield seal at the top.

@@CMFotoPeak I often had wet feet when it rained heavily. This ended in me putting a plastic bag over my shoes when it rained heavily. In Darwin I drove specifically to a Land Rover mechanic, a Brit who lived in Australia. He explained to me that a leaky roof is a part of old Lang Rovers like an egg is a part of a chicken. lol. And yes, it was an adventure. Throughout the continent and also outside. 40000 km. The Landi also sank in a river that was too deep due to rain. Then a farmer spotted me in his plane in the middle of the outback, struggling with the floods. Afterwards the engine broke down and a cyclone came from the north. Pure adventure. 🙂

That rubber mat seems fit very well with the floor. Where did you ordered it?
@CMFotoPeakАй бұрын
The floor mats ? It's just the cheap autograph Range Rubber Mats PM617. I had to trim the driver side a little to make it fit, or the door was hitting it, but not something you can see :)
