owned my stage one here in he UK since 94, parked it up in the corner of my front garden in 99 and didn't touch it again till i had to move it in 2013, put a half a gallon of nearly fresh fuel in the tank bunged an old battery in it an drove it out took me about 10 minutes from start to finish. I decided to refurbish it and put it back on the road, had to weld a couple of holes in the chassis and fit two new outriggers clean and rebuild the brakes and renewed a few other bits and pieces did it on and off over a couple of years and it went back on the road in 2016, starts first time does 60 + with ease stops on a ---- well not quite dime but it comes to a halt eventually still as the original strombergs on it as well always getting people trying to buy it but i've resisted so far

Currently prepping my 110 for sale due to no earnings in the UK lockdown. It is a beast with a fully sorted TD5 running 210bhp. I love it dearly as I have been through so much with the thing in the last 10 years. I really hope I can re-join the landy family in three years time when things are back to normal. Lovely V8 btw :)

Never say it’ll pull anything, I learned that years ago when I had a Ford F 150 with a V8 302, anyway I was pulling a 16’ trailer with a bunch of railroad tyes on it when a trailer tire blew out and nearly wrecked us. I looked at my brother and said you might want to wake dad up because he’s never seen a wreck like we are fixing to be in. Lucky I was able to get it back under control after us going from one side of the road to the other side on the highway. Since then I’ve owned only a few other 1/2 ton trucks the rest has been 3/4 tons or 1 ton duallys and I’ll never pull with anything less than one of my duallys again. Great video and good luck with the new to you truck

Thank you so much for the encouragement. And what a great story . I've seen people load broken vehicles on trailers backward cos it's easier at the time. Only to have the trailer go onto a huge sway that lover takes a light tow vehicle and sees them jack knife and cause lots of damage. You must always have the wieght on the tow vehicles rear axle.

I priced a similar vehicle in Edinburgh 2 years-old for less money. I could have gone to Mexico and buy a one new (before they stopped producing them), but we still cannot import them into Canada. That is a stage 1 v8 i was an engineer on the chassis line who built these in Nelson,we built a run of these for the police to be used on ninety mile beach,it was quite common to have the wrong cc number on rego papers as in there eyes it was a petrol series 111,good waggons not so good lock, brakes were not so good ,some times the seal between the booster and the cylinder leaked so the vacumm did not work. A great gearbox, gearing a bit lowbut you up the gear out of a range rover to inprove this, this landrover is quite rare as we did not build many special 109 v8's with the galv chassis,i built about 5 that i can rember.
