Mate. You look huge in the front seat of this car, you need a F250.

One big back door like cheaper SUVs and mini vans; no split tailgate, nor the back windshield can be be opened separately.

I have the 200 Sahara with split tailgate. I use the lower split all the time, to sit on, as a work bench, as a table etc. etc. etc. The one piece tailgate on the 300 would absolutely stop me from buying the vehicle. So would the V6. What was Toyota thinking!!!

I had 2 LC Sahara 2009 and 2015 over the years loved both and sold. The split tailgate and V8 will not stop me from buying the new LC 300 Sahara, in fact I’m ordering one next week in crystal pearl white. If you’re a true LC fan and know about evolution then this should not stop you from buying one unless you don’t need one. Have fun with your antique split gate and V8 and keep whinging, or move forward and be realistic. I too was thinking the same, but after my dealer gave me the LC 300 Sahara ZX for the weekend as test drive (I won’t get the ZX) it blew my mind away with the level of comfort, technology, luxury and power!!! Test drive one, you won’t regret it. Cheers

This thing is not gonna age well…I think if I were to ever buy a new land cruiser I would get a 79. Less things to go wrong and more tough

Page 4 of the new Toyota LC300 brochure shows an example of a caravan with stone-guard hitched to an LC300. I'll bet they didn't try opening that stupid one-piece tailgate, because if they did the bottom edge of the tailgate would have fouled the top of the stone-guard. Same would apply when towing a boat. In most instances, to open the tailgate you would have to unhitch whatever you were towing! Toyota might get themselves sued for this, they would do well to remove that picture. Additionally, to set the vehicle up for touring would be a massive challenge - no space under the bonnet for an auxiliary battery, no space in the rear cavities to mount an air compressor, snorkel can't be fitted on driver side because of the air-box location and a highly stressed V6 (dealt with in my post of November 15, 2021) just adds to the hate list. All of this is a big deal-breaker for me and it should be for you. Future resale value will be poor compared to the near-perfect LC100 & LC200 series. I love the LC300's predecessors but I just hate this one. Do yourselves a favour folks and don't buy this model, you would come to regret it - the unit is crap and at the price it's madness!
